Would be good for diplomats. I imagine the human translators throw in some un-wanted "your mother is a whore" comments on occasion.

Given that he's trying to earn a living working 12-14 hour days, he's probably just trying to multitask since he doesn't have a lot of time at home.

Delta1212: Out of curiosity, I plugged "It's raining cats and dogs" in Google translate just now and I got the appropriate German idiom as a response, rather than a literal translation of the above sentence (roughly more equivalent to "It's pouring buckets.")

CSB:  I once typed  "ぺちゃぱい"  -- slang for small tits, into google translate and asked for the English.   It gave me "Fried eggs".    I was so impressed.

It doesn't do that any more, I think too many people were getting the risque translation in reverse.
