First Hugh Hefner, then Monty Hall, and now this guy. Very old celebrity trifecta complete. :(

My parents subscribed to the New Yorker, among others. I would flip through to read the cartoons. It was their long article on the Apollo 13 near disaster that got me hooked on actually reading the magazine for many years.

More recently, I am convinced that my mother was single-handedly trying to keep the print magazine business afloat - she refused to let us cancel any of her 2 dozen subscriptions before she died, even though she had pretty much quit reading anything.

Yeah, he ran a few decent magazines.  Advance Media Group also has managed to turn a lot of great newspapers into daily tabloids.

Thanks a lot, dead old guy.

I have no real idea who this is, but this gif of Terry Crews holding Grumpy Cat came up searching for the "Who?" .gif...

So, that obnoxious son of his we saw in the documentary 'Born Rich' will be taking over?

I always thought it was "Sy" Newhouse, instead of "S.I."

// Or maybe Sai, if he was a big Raphael fan
// I don't suppose he was named after his borough?

He's being mourned around the world.
