Please, keep tweeting about this.  Christ, even people who agree with you are getting sick of it.

No, they're conservatives.  This is always what it's been about.  This is the end result of the road we were set on in 1980.  This has been the plan all along.

This is what, farking day five of this farking shiat?  Just stop listening to him.  He's a farking insane person smearing shiat on the walls.  He's also the president but so farking what.  We apparently don't need a president.  Just let him go on a "I'm great" tour and just let the rest of the world get along with its lives.

Here's a handy list of people who don't care about the citizens of Puerto Rico:
1. The US Congress
2. Trump
3. Everyone who works for Trump
4. Conservative reich-wing media
5. Mainstream media

The only thing more outrageous than him trying to use this nonsense as a distraction is that it's working like a farking charm.

He played the media like a fiddle during the election and he's continuing to play them today.

You're right about one thing: we don't need a President. We need a parliamentary system based on mixed-member proportional system.  I'd even take ANY parliamentary system over this.  Hell, if Trump was elected under a parliamentary system, the first budget reconciliation bill that failed would have triggered a new election and we'd be done with this bastard within what, six months?

I had to listen to a coworker fellate the moron because "maybe it's a smart move," and he's dragging them out into the dirt.  Yes just like jamming a pencil in your eye is a smart move.  That and he's now using Trump's dumb farking moniker for Kim.

Is THIS what the GOP has come to? This was their plan all along? To get the House, The Senate, and the Big Chair and just dig in and force us to be a christian nation? Seems like such a waste of 20+ years.

TrumpCare:  A day late and a dollar short. Strike That. Decades late, no health care for tens of millions, and a trillion dollars short.
TrumpAID:  Weeks late and NADA but blather.

Germany introduced old age pensions  in the 1880s and public health insurance shortly after. The US was still struggling to catch up to Canada or the UK, let alone Germany or France, more than a century later.

Fun Fact: Thomas Paine proposed old age pensions and other radical policies, such as getting rid of King George and the Established Church, well before the 1780s. That is to say, more than a century early again on top of the forward looking and acting German experiment.

Just so I have this correct, we have Harvey, Irma, Jose, Puerto Rico, Mexico, weekly shootings, opiod crisis, healthcare reform, Russian investigation, emboldened white supremacist and a dick waving contest between two petulant 5 year olds with too much power... and we are fighting over people actually exercising their First Amendment right. WTF is wrong with you? My $.02

We would have had a no confidence vote over the summer if not earlier.  Fixed terms seem to have been a mistake.

Hey, now, lets be fair. Trump did a three tweet series about Puerto Rico yesterday.

Sure they basically told the Puerto Ricans to drop dead and only expressed sympathy for Wall Street, but he did address the issue with all the class and empathy he has.

Ya know, as long as he's distracted he's at least not doing a bunch of horrible stuff. And congress can't get a damn thing done, which is good. Maybe it's a good thing if he just keeps up the war on sportsball. I don't know anymore. Sigh.

How common is that? They send that shiat every September before midterms or is that a first?

Cause if it's the latter, that could be interesting.

These are the mental exercises one undertakes when living in a failed nation that's only alive because of a prosperous past.

Because when I think of a great leader, it's somebody that everyone wants to shut the f*ck up and go away.

Be careful what you wish for.  I see no evidence that the European system is inherently better than the US approach.  In fact, it tends to magnify the power of fringe political groups even worse than we have it here.  Yes, it would be wonderful if we could just throw out Trump via a vote of no-confidence, but that would only be a temporary fix.  Trump is the logical end result of a malignancy that won't just go away the minute he does.  And right now, our political system is keeping the very worse elements of that malignancy somewhat at bay.

Trump will never properly acknowledge the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico because he's from Queens.  To (whatever is left of) his mind, Puerto Ricans are not people, they are cockroaches that tried to infest his daddy's low income apartment complexes.

Sure he does. He was just taking a shiat while doing it. And he sure does take a lot of shiats lately. Remember that age-old workplace graffiti?

"Here I sit

Feeling fine.

Taking a shiat

On company time."

Replace 'company' with 'taxpayer' and there ya go.

I'm inclined to agree with this, but I also know that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.  I'd love a chance to learn something today:  Any international Farkers want to chime in with valid criticisms of parliamentary systems?  On the one hand, I feel like marginalizing the marginal, instead of letting them run one of the two major parties, would be a good thing, as would requiring a coalition of different interests to get anything done (my idealistic mind thinks/hopes this would mean issues are addressed on a case by case basis, rather than platform v. platform?)... but I also fear that nothing gets done and turning over the government at indeterminate times, rather than fixed terms, is a bad idea.  Thoughts?

TNel: My wife is a registered R and yesterday she got a piece of mail from RNC asking about her approval status of Trump.  She hasn't voted R in years and hates Trump so she can't wait to fill it out and send it back in.

You know that's just a fund raising tool, right?  And that no one actually reads, or even tabulates those things, right?  If her response produces anything at all, it's the increase of the value of her information when resold to other marketers / campaigns:  "Yup, this is a confirmed address, with a confirmed name, who responded to an (R) mailing.  Goes in the slightly more expensive list now.  If we can cross it with having purchased gold bars or survival buckets, we can add it to the top tier, too."

/ doesn't stop me from rant-replying to DNC/(D)-reps' emails, though...

I don't really see a way for him to win this fight. The NFL has given him the finger, and the only thing he can do is loudly hope that their revenue drops off as a result, forcing them to comply with his (very specific) concept of patriotism.

The most likely outcome, of course, is that he'll eventually stop talking about it, players will stop kneeling, and then he'll bring it back up and claim victory, but that's not the same thing as "winning." It also can't happen until he shuts up.
