In the world of quantum physics the existence of a device like the Portal gun would be totally possible but creating warmholes from our bedroom to the nearest convenience store would be a totally different story...

I've never created warmholes in my bedroom, but I've destroyed a few. BA-DUM-TSSSSS

Boy that website is hard to read you would think punctuation was prohibitively expensive for as sparingly as they use it making their bland writing all the harder to read not for the least reason that it sounds like it was written by a fourteen year old who just discovered The Orange Box and is having a bit of difficulty typing because he couldn't wait to clean the spooge from between the keys after seeing something that isn't the first replica of the Portal *BREATHE* gun.

I eagerly await the day that what happened to communication happens to physical travel.

Is this where I make a 'Man-_____, I tell ya!' reference to my morning BM?

I could really use a warmhole in my bedroom a couple times a week.

We will need to do some testing.... have some cake!

You know the worst part about inventing teleportation? Suddenly, you're able to travel the whole galaxy, and the first thing you learn is, you're the last guy to invent teleportation.

Don't use counterfeit portal juice.

Wormhole/portal travel i suspect will end up being the only viable form of FTL travel that MIGHT be possible... and that's a big maybe.

The energy required will probably be so ridiculously high though, that's no guarantee it will ever be practical either. And there's plenty of tricky bits to work out - like how does the other end go where you want it to go and stay there...... being that the place you're coming from and the place you're going to are moving at incredible speed relative to one another, how do you anchor each endpoint where you need them or keep them moving relatively?

And you'll need to do your wormhole travelling in space and to a destination in space..... otherwise you're going to create a fantastic way to empty one planet's atmosphere into the other one, or open space.

My aunt and I recently discovered we both tend to edit badly written online material and send it back to the author, signed only "You're Welcome." Of course, we both only do so if the topic is interesting enough. This "article" does not qualify.
