I really miss all the baba yaga headlines, Coulter links should be properly labelled so some of us don't accidentally looking at that thing or the words it spews.

Coulter, desperate for attention and relevance, and finding none.

Sad!

Ann Coulter shouldn't be allowed to vote, actually.

doesn't it make more sense to block anyone over 70 from voting.

Seriously, why do we let people who aren't going to see the full damage from their vote?  And this group tends to be the most unbending politically entrenched group out there.

its like throwing a party, and asking people who are about to leave what kind of pizza we want to order.

On the other hand, there are plenty of people over 70 who want to live out their final decades in a stable democracy where social safety nets benefit those in need.

You know, Ann, I joked about this yesterday, and here you go, mining Fark for material that you use without any sense of irony.

It deserves repeating over and over: if your agenda is so bad that it means you have to disqualify huge numbers of people to your guys into office then your agenda sucks.

Can we PLEASE stop listening to Ann Coultier?

No the people who shouldn't vote are those think the world is going to end because Jesus is coming back soon.
Old people for the most part want the country to be good for their grandkids.  Fundies on the other hand the world isn't going to last much longer so why worry.

I usually come into Coulter threads to make some joke about her being a Nazghul or some other fantasy monster, but not this time.

No, but there's nothing more natural than the old and the young consumed with envy for each other. Generational conflict has been a documented norm in human behavior since before Aristotle. It comes down to twenty-somethings and fifty-somethings each wanting what the other has. Also, they (whomever one's particular "they" may be) do everything wrong. Eat, drink, take drugs, fark, listen to music - whatever it is, those guys do it wrong. And it has always been thus. It's lazy, tribal thinking but it's engrained in our reptilian brains.

I spend a certain amount of time every day listening to people my age complaining about millennials, and then I come here to listen millenials complaining about people my age. It amuses me. It's the circle of life.

CSB: So, thirty years after I last saw "her" I get a phone call from someone who is now a "he."  He wants to returns some things that belonged to a dead relative of mine.  Great.  He comes over to drop the stuff off and we had a long talk.  He was anxious to make amends but after 30 years, who cares about bygones?  Not me.  But I did have one question for him: Are you still a Republican?  Short answer: no.  Long answer: No farking way.

So you're living in one particular town for a minimum of nine months out of the year; possibly even year round.  Maybe you go back to visit your parents every few weekends.

Why shouldn't you be allowed to vote in that town?  And more to the point, if there's some reason in my previous paragraph that means you shouldn't be able to vote there, then why doesn't that same logic apply to the snowbunnies that live in Arizona a few months out of the year and keep voting in people like McCain and Arpiao?
