...yeah, but you're still going to Italy on Olive Garden's dime, to be exploited by Olive Garden's marketing folks, and you have to go between 4/7/2018 and 4/14/2018 - no exceptions.

I'd rather shiat in my hands and clap.

Is there an upscale Olive Garden?  Like, a chain pasta place with decent food?

I can think of a few regional chains, but nothing national.  It seems like a strange gap in the market.

Ok, hold up.

$100 for all you can eat pasta for eight weeks? Is that eight meals,  or can I just show up each day and get some ravioli?

Because my math says that's $2 per day for unlimited vaguely Italian pasta, and Olive Garden isn't that bad even if they're not great.

You can show up every day. You used to even get carryout with the pass. Never done it but there are stories of how to maximize them. You will gain weight though.

I've never been there so I can't tell anything about the food.  It is a national chain though.

They serve Tusken food. No, that's not a typo, why do you ask?

I thought the joke was "We train our chefs in Tuscany. That's a typo, you meant Tucson."

I thought carrabas was lower quality than olive garden

Tusken food tastes like Bantha poodoo.

You can use it an unlimited amount of times for 8 weeks, Dine-In Only, and is only good for things on their "Never Ending Pasta Bowl" menu.

You can see the menu HERE.

If you want to go 3 times a day for 8 weeks, you can do that.

No To-Go orders this year though.

If you don't have a pass, you can pay $9.99 for a single visit.  So basically you'd need to use the Pass at least 10 times over 8 weeks to break even.

I'm not sure I could stomach enough pasta to make it worthwhile to me, personally. It does include Soup & Salad though as well, that's more up my alley.

In your opinion, is not being thrilled when a "restaurant" serves you microwaved pasta and salad from a bag the same as food snobbery? If so, then yes. This will be another food snob thread.

I've been to Maggiano's Little Italy in both Boston and Las Vegas: https://www.maggianos.com/

Pretty decent food, and they do family style if you have a big group.

Bravo! is pretty decent, as is Carrabas.

That's kind of you, but I believe they have people in the kitchen to make that appetizer.

Buca di Beppo is a pretty decent chain. They're not everywhere like Olive Garden, but they do have locations in about half the country. http://bucadibeppo.com/restaurants

Look at it this way: It's a $200 plane ticket. What can they do to you if you ditch the tour as soon as you get off of the plane?

So marooning someone in a foreign country - that would be a huge PR nightmare. I would dare them to do that.

You'll also have to go with people that choose to eat at Olive Garden, this is going to be one big group tour.

I didn't really think of them as a full on Olive Garden competitor, but I guess it makes sense.

Last time I went to one was about 13 or 14 years ago, so I guess I kind of forgot they've expanded since then.  The food was fine for what I expected.

So I was in the waiting room for the passport for 20 minutes then they said it was sold out...anyone else have any luck?
