(Bloomberg)   London retains its crown as the world's top financial center, mostly due to the fact that the traffic's so bad nobody can get out   ( bloomberg.com) divider line

I thought the cities in Italy had the worst traffic in Europe.

Chock full of white collar crooks no doubt. Wall street could give them some comp though.

I remember our first trip to London and our wondrous, stuff-of-legend attempt to return  our rental car. We were instructed to return our car to Victoria Station. Full stop. Victoria Station is right outside the Verboten Zone. You cannot drive an unlicensed vehicle in the Verboten Zone without (apparently) facing instant death. We kept circling the place looking for some signage to indicate where to drop the car. None existed. We saw a bunch of taxis at one entrance and thought: taxis? rental cars? Maybe they're linked. A sound like the eruption of Krakatoa followed our entrance into the queue as (approx.) 1 billion cabbies leaned into their car horns in a single gesture. Chastened and shakened, we widened our search -- still skirting the Verboten Zone -- until we finally found the Other Victoria Station, its tiny sign about the size of the warning print on a new heart drug

Hey, Londoners, more signage. Just a thought.

Absolutely right subby, London doesn't have any trains or anything.
