I hope he runs for Senate in that dumb hat and white-trash haircut.    Otherwise, how will we know it's Kid Rock?

Helga Pataki would be better.

We're already getting Roy Moore. He's twice the crazy, twice the dumb.

JerkStore: Fark you, George Pataki.

You'd Pataki would have enough brains to say, "Man, fark this shiat I'm not getting involved."

Then again, us NYers always knew Pataki was a dumbass.

Unfortunately, at the time he wrote that, Republicans were the progressive party.

Mencken would probably admire the modern GOP.

so the guy who left a hole in lower manhattan for 10 years so his friends could profit thinks this is a good idea.

Michigan, you're not that dumb, right?

Point taken, but he wasn't governor after 2006.

You can thank the Port Authority for most of that mess.

Is this a trick question?

Right. Kid Rock's music and philosophy has always been a stupider, redneckier, watered down version of Insane Clown Posse.

I would vote for Shaggy2Dope and/or ViolentJ WAAAAAAAAY before I'd even consider ole chumpnuts KR.

And I think those two assclowns are irredeemable dumbpharks who should go no where near public office.

and before some derpgoblin runs in exclaiming how much KR has "done for the community"... ya, good for him. He's at least an occasionally decent person. He's still an annoying idiot and is schlobbing conservaballs that are actively trying to destroy the communities his good deeds may have kind of somewhat sort of helped.

When he goes and takes extensive courses in civics (and passes) and shows that he can decipher good policy from ultra word salady hate boning of democracy we'll talk.

Until then... I will relunctantly side with the Juggalo party if it comes down to it.

Not even remotely true. He wrote that in 1949, and he was always quite liberal regardless. He was racist, but mostly in a 'product of his time' sort of way, and he was out in front on a number of issues- he was strongly against lynching, for example, back when that wasn't a popular view for a white writer. He would despise the modern GOP, and would quite happily shred them to pieces, but he also wouldn't be surprised by them. In many ways, he saw our current moment coming decades before it came.

"Kid Rock is exactly the kind of candidate the GOP needs rights now," Pataki tweeted.

Because a has-been who didn't disappear after his 15 minutes of fame were up with very little intelligence and a history of drugs and promiscuity with random fans is exactly what the GOP is all about.

Oh, I see.  He embodies those "Christian values" you're always trying to preach to us.

That's "moran", subby. Geez, get a brain.

I strongly disagree, but it's pointless to argue over speculations.

He was an interesting guy, but definitely no hero of mine.

The damage was done by then, it took 5 more years for things to get under control because of his massive mismanagement.

It would have gone on a hell of a lot longer if not for...David Paterson? Turns out that bumbling blind doofus made some damn good hires, including Chris Ward* at the Port Authority.

Naturally, Cuomo and Christie threw Ward under the bus first chance they got.

* - not the Chris Ward who killed countless Jets first downs with holding penalties

Totally. David Patterson was a really good governor for NY, for his miscues. He got a lot done for a governor who took over because of scandal. And it was nice to see a person with a disability doing good work. One of the reasons I can't watch SNL is they're very mean-hearted treatment of him.
