On said tax cuts for the wealthy:

Forbes also said that tax cuts should be retroactive to January or July of this year "so people get a big refund in April."

Sure.

Cut taxes on the wealthy some more and shift the burden to the middle class.

I'm absolutely sure there will be no dire repercussions for continuing to think we are on the wrong side of the Laffer Curve.

Here's a thought: get George Soros to suddenly start advocating for steep tax rate reductions on the uber-wealthy and Trump and the Republicans may just raise rates to spite him. That would be hilarious.

Right.  Like there's any danger of that!

I don't get rich people like that.  How could you even give a flying fark about that when you're that rich?  You literally have enough money to never care about money again in your life.

THIS

I'm in a similar bracket, and I have no problem paying taxes. I'm actually willing to pay more. What pi$$es me off is reading about how we somehow need a new generation of fighter jets to successfully fight former goat herders with AK47's and M2's mounted on used Toyota pickup trucks, yet we don't have enough money to give the poor kid sitting next to mine in public school a sloppy joe and a juice box.

I read a story many many years ago that the people at the top of the company are the most likely to nickle and dime every last teenie tiny travel expense to the company.  I thought then and think now it's just the sort of mentality that gets you to being that wealthy in the first place just never leaves you.  It's easier to get rich if you're an asshole, harder to if you're not.

I could get rich if I wanted to.  I could follow Glenn Beck's model where I just take advantage of a whole bunch of stupid people.  I have pretty credentials.  I could write books about parenting and medicine and start a website selling crap that cater to rich stupid moms.  Use my home natural organic remedies to cure your kid's diseases and come visit me in my vaccine free clinic.  Granted, I'd be actually harming kids in the process but moms would love me and I'd be rich!

Sure, right, if the economy is good, no one cares that you make more taking your 5 minute daily shiat than a full-time minimum wage worker makes in a week.

Sure, keep saying that "a rising tide lifts all boats".  Not if you are any of the millions of people whose boat is hard-anchored to the bottom.

Eat trickled-down shiat, Forbes.  A free republic should have a means of ensuring that wealth doesn't pool to an obscene excess, and the current tax rates don't do that.

This is exactly the kind of economic stimulus that America needs.
Under out current unfair tax system, there's no incentive to buy that ticket since if you win even a couple dollars, it's going to push you into the next bracket and you'll end up losing money.

Yes, that's right, Teve Torbes. Middle class doesn't care if the top 1% have 85% of the wealth, or CEOs make 800% more than the plebes. As long as I'm getting my hard-earned $7.50/ hour, I'm happy.

Flat tax is a set sum but percentage.
Say 10%
So if you made $20000 you'd pay 2000.

Lowering taxes on the rich could bring in more tax money.  All you'd have to do is lower the rates until its cheaper to pay taxes than to higher the accounts to hide the money.

And it's also about inheriting wealth and feeling that makes you superior to people who have to work.
