Kellyanne is sorry excuse for a human being, but equally ridiculous is how networks like CNN are so desperate to fill the airwaves that they keep inviting people like her back to spew her useless nonsense.

Note to CNN: if you spend 99% of your time repeating garbage & propaganda, nobody will take you seriously when you report on the 1% that isn't.

If the behavior of this administration was anything approaching normal, then there wouldn't be so many people asking them, "what the hell are you doing?"

Then stop inviting her on.
Stop paying Jeff Lord or Corey Lewandowski or whatever lying snake you currently have talking over reasonable people and screaming nonsense.
Stop all the farking drama and have a sedate, boring discussion like PBS Newshour or BBC World News.

I'm impressed how digital broadcast has changed the game. about 20 channels, old sci-fi, the big 4 channels for big event sports, and 3 types of PBS.

Cable had lost of the MLB anyways, and I'm not paying for MLB network.

I have a hard time watching multi panel shows on CNN lately.  At times there is nothing but arguing back and forth and it just becomes a bunch of noise.  It reminds me of family gatherings...
If they are going to continue to allow this to happen, they should then provide alcohol to the panelists to make it even more real.

I maintain that TLC is still adhering to their original mission; they just changed their method. Instead of the programming you'd expect, they're educating people through cautionary tales.

Really? I did it years ago because I was sick of paying a cable bill for TV when all I use it for is the internet. I haven't seen a commercial in 4 years, I'd bet. But the internet is becoming the new trash TV, so might even have to get rid of this crapbox, too... Back to books and real life, I guess.

While I think balance of opinion and representation is needed, CNN and other networks should stop letting folks that can't tell fact from fiction on the air. There are story-based networks for them -- Hallmark, Lifetime, etc.

CNN, Fox, MSNBC, Headline News, PBS are for fact-based news. Folks need to find other outlets to educate themselves. Sadly, a lot of the international news is giving better unbiased coverage of 45's administration and what's going on. Also, take in some of the Podcasts out there to give you information and how you can get involved. We also need to let these outlets know (with our viewership, correspondence, etc.) that we don't want to have our news filled with lies and bias.

She's a spokesperson for the President, so if you want a comment from the President on something you kind of have no choice but to have her on.

My bigger objection with CNN is that they have people like Jeff Lord on the payroll. I can appreciate getting analysis from the other side - NPR invites on conservatives from outlets like the National Review - but all he does is unconditionally shill for Trump.

Ummm. Those "people" are the administration. Kelleyanne Conway is a mouthpiece for the administration. Had CNN NOT gotten her on air we'd never know about the mountain of contradictions and lies that this administration told. Much of the new over the past 6 months has been that Trump's people were saying one thing and Trump was saying something else. We need to get these liars on record. Over and over again. As a matter of fact, Conway's complaint is that CNN pushes back against her propaganda. That's EXACTLY what you want, sir. Living in an echo chamber helps no one.

Nothing wrong with that any of that, that's still history.

Yes. I really don't understand this argument. Yes. We want to hear from the people who have control of the nukes. Yes. We want to hear why the President's son had a meeting with Russians that he didn't disclose. CNN can't make those people lie. All they can do is ask questions.

Bullshiat.

At that point you can call the evening news "history" because it's already happened.

Taking actual historic documentaries off the air to replace with shiatty reality shows about junk collectors and pawn shops is not acceptable, hence why I cancelled my cable subscription.

i will give pawn stars a pass - they do get some neat stuff on there.  the scripted side drama is retarded but i find the show to overall be nominally entertaining and informative.

They can ask questions AND hold Conway, et.al's feet to the fire as opposed to "well, we'll have to leave it there" to end the segment after the WH and Conway just said 2 +2 = 5 so we all can hear a message about life insurance. Segments like this, where Stelter is calling out Conway, is the exception and not the rule. So much an exception that when someone like Stelter does this it makes Fark.

The risk you take is that they may be able to slip one in. You can't have endless segments because the subject continues to lie. But what you don't mention is that after the commercial break, they come back with 4 analyst who are there to tell you how much bullshiat you just listened too. I'm not here to carry water for CNN, but I think, at least in the age of Trump, they're doing a lot more journalism and a little less of the "equal time" stuff. That's why Trump is focusing his rage on them.

That would be a reasonable excuse if not for the fact that it's not at all uncommon for one of the President's spokespeople to say one thing and then five minutes later Trump puts out a tweet which completely contradicts whatever they said.

I agree on showing history, but, Lord, that was a depressing channel. How about the Renaissance? Roman times, Egyptian times, Medieval times... More than just wars. I wanted to see history that inspires people to do better, not to kill better.
