No. It says he *might* do a cameo. They are/were in talks.
2004-05-22 06:16:43 PM
Would that be in-between his guest appearance gigs on 'The Practice/Fleet Street'?

What's Enterprise?
2004-05-22 07:02:59 PM
From Hell's heart, I stab at thee. For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.
2004-05-22 07:04:17 PM
I didn't know Enterprise had a "this" season, let alone a "next" season.
2004-05-22 07:05:19 PM
i don't watch enterprise, but given that it takes place at the beginning of the whole ST "history" doesn't that mean that the Kirk they encounter will be young?

[image from too old to be available]

^--- this is the face that he'll make when they cinch up his girdle.
2004-05-22 07:05:25 PM
YAY! Finally someone catering to those who don't care about consistency between series.
2004-05-22 07:05:43 PM
Jebus, they were talking about this since Enterprise started. Shatner's character is suuposed to invent the photon torpedo. Trek is dead. but we'll always have

2004-05-22 07:05:59 PM the starship...................enterprise.......her end the episode.....before i line....
2004-05-22 07:06:10 PM
Anybody know whether or not he'll be "portraying" Kirk?
Or is that a stupid question and mute point?
2004-05-22 07:06:23 PM
Maybe Patrick Stewart will guest-star as well. Him and Kirk could tag-team kicking butt on Quantum Leap guy.
2004-05-22 07:06:44 PM

Timeline wise, Kirk wasn't even born yet. I'm sure Shatner will be cast as someone else besides Kirk.
2004-05-22 07:07:32 PM
I'm watching Star Trek III on AMC right now.

/got nothin' at all
2004-05-22 07:07:34 PM
Interesting... I wonder how they plan to work that in. I assume it will be completely consistent and exceptional skilled, just like everything else in the series. Yeah, that's it. Oh-- bring back the cute Maco that Trip was hanging out with a little before he nailed T'Pol.
2004-05-22 07:07:57 PM
Just when I thought Enterprise couldn't get any worse. That's what I get for underestimating them.
2004-05-22 07:09:08 PM
So there's actually going to be ANOTHER season of Enterprise? Enough already. Bring back the TNG reruns.
2004-05-22 07:09:11 PM
He'll be Kirk's grandfather, Kirok. No, wait...
2004-05-22 07:10:21 PM
Oooo ooo ooo I know I know I know....Kirk, Picard, Janeway, and Sisko all at the same time!
2004-05-22 07:10:23 PM
Rain...drops... keep falling...

2004-05-22 07:11:24 PM
Sometimes I think I'm the only person who actually *likes* Enterprise...

2004-05-22 07:11:48 PM
I stopped watching Enterprise when they had that Borg episode in season 2. I knew right then and there that the promise of something "new and exciting" in this series was dead.
2004-05-22 07:11:53 PM
On the Enterprise topic, was I the only one that was unpleasantly surprised when they announce that the new series would be about Earth's first starship?

I would have accepted Star Trek:Dominion War, Star Trek:The Romulan Attack, and especially Star Trek:Let's Go Back to What We Do Well and Do Another Ship in the Fleet - Not A Ship Lost In Space, A Station, or A Ship from the Past

Of course, Trekkers would probably refer to that one as ST:LGBTWWDWADASINFNASLISASOASFRP
2004-05-22 07:12:41 PM
Time travel. All you have to do is slingshot around the sun, and then land a Klingon cruiser in the San Francisco bay. Any idiot knows that!
2004-05-22 07:12:53 PM
He'll be Jackson Roykirk.

/boldy going where nomad has gone before...
2004-05-22 07:12:58 PM
what's 'enterprise' ?
2004-05-22 07:16:19 PM
That show still on?
2004-05-22 07:17:15 PM
I just love how they keep wondering why "Enterprise" is struggling.

It's on freakin' UPN!
2004-05-22 07:18:06 PM
lmao comic gold here...or maybe im jsut drunk
2004-05-22 07:21:02 PM
*cough*time travel*cough*

It'll be some lame-ass plot that'll involve Archer and Kirk saving Earth, and only the two of them can do it. Kirk will spend most of the episode giving captainly advice though he can't say too much about the future and then sacrifice himself in some way at the end.

"It all comes to a real head in the finale. I don't know if resolved is the right word, but it's going to come to a very exciting end." Berman told journalist Ian Spelling "Let's just say, certain elements of the story are going to be unresolved."

Does he think he just invented the season-finale cliffhanger?
2004-05-22 07:22:58 PM
Funny, I was just thinking I must be the only one who doesn't like ST:TNG. I prefer more adventure in my adventure series, and fewer sappy, horribly-thinly-veiled morality tales.
2004-05-22 07:23:39 PM
1. DS9 was the best Trek series.
2. Kirk was the best Starship captain.
3. Enterprise has become a decent series.

/Not a geek

P.S. I think Kirk could be transported back in time...lets say by...Moe.
2004-05-22 07:24:42 PM

/shakes head in shame
2004-05-22 07:26:00 PM
Thrawn, you are right only on number #1.

That said, I still think that they are overcharging for the DS9 dvds.
2004-05-22 07:26:05 PM
Oh yeah, because that will make it suck less.

2004-05-22 07:26:28 PM
Anything Star Trek, without George Takei, is just not worth my time and attention. George Takei, with or without Star Trek, is always worthy of my attention. He is, without a doubt, the funniest living human being.
2004-05-22 07:26:29 PM
thank god for Spike TV
2004-05-22 07:31:09 PM
"Enterprise" is stupid. All the shows are drama queens. Noone gives a shiat about the stupid characters, GET ON WITH THE KLINGON WAR ALREADY! and bring back the russian klingons while you're at it.
2004-05-22 07:31:29 PM
It is a decent series, not bad at all. This season had some very good episodes.

It's also of course the cliche response of most now to ding anything having to do with Star Trek, associating everyone who watches it with the Kingdom of Geekdom.

Of course these are the same people who dismiss all Science Fiction as being silly. They often are the ones who want to watch instead Donald Trump (who ironically has hair from a planet far far away), the WNBA, or who enjoy "Two and a Half Men."

There is no accounting for taste, but when the media decides basically to annoint what's cool and what isn't and people are goofy enough to be manipulated by that, well it's enough to cause me to want to switch my phaser setting up from merely a stun setting....
2004-05-22 07:31:42 PM

Or does anyone else know if Spike will pick up the rights to show Voyager or the 1960's first series anytime?
2004-05-22 07:34:32 PM
WHY... do... so many... PEOPLE... misuse... ELLIPSES!
2004-05-22 07:34:39 PM
Thrawn -

"thank god for Spike TV"

What you said. I'm only now realizing how much DS9 didn't suck.

Enterprise accidentally encounters The Nexus and Archer finds Kirk and teaches him how not to burn eggs. Or tries, and waporizes Kirk because he talks too slow.
2004-05-22 07:34:48 PM
I am now a bigger geek for just having looked at this thread.
2004-05-22 07:37:50 PM
The only Star Trek worth watching was "Deep Space 9" and it was just a big budget "Babylon 5." The lastest in the franchise, "Enterprise," bites--the vulcan's boobies are cool though.
2004-05-22 07:40:19 PM
DS9 is by far the best written of all the Trek shows. The later shows (during the Romulan War) are even better. And I still liked Kirk the best!

/maybe a little bit of a geek
2004-05-22 07:40:25 PM
I think it's still possible to save the series, but only if they go forward, not backward. I'm still intrested in the points between First Contact and the new show.

Bones was the man.

/geek out
2004-05-22 07:40:58 PM
I gotta say - I was real down on "Enterprise" until the latter half of this season. It's gotten pretty good; though I know it's fashionable to bash it. It's nowhere close to being the best "Trek," but it's pretty good. It beats "Voyager."
2004-05-22 07:41:29 PM
"Enterprise" has been very good lately, with the Xindi now fighting each other over whether or not Earth gets blown to bits. But I'd rather not see any more Shatner.

I'm also enjoying the DS9 episodes on Spike TV, though I can still see minor things to complain about.
