Trump voters didn't like being called morans before the election.  They still don't.

Yup. I fully expect, given their mentality, that the more he farks up, the deeper they will dig in. Trump will be a demigod to his supporters by the time his term is up.

THIS DOESN'T MATTER.

We're never going to get the entire nation to turn on him. He's never going to have 0% approval rating. It's ridiculous to act like everyone is going to turn on him. More importantly, it's not necessary.

Actually most of the truly regretful Trump supporters are so embarrassed that they deny ever voting for him. I'm willing to bet that if you simply did a poll of who voted for who, Trump would come in at 35% tops, probably less.

59,000,000 voted for Trump and no matter what he does, will do so again. That's 59 milion Americans we could count on to cheer if he proclaimed himself dictator for life.  Damn right that matters.

It doesn't matter in that it doesn't mean he can't be beaten. It doesn't make his reelection inevitable. We can't act like, because he still has support, stopping him can't work.

Why would they?
Every now and then you hear about someone made because he bombed Syria, but I think most of his voters are happy for him to act like a tough guy. And there are some unhappy because they didn't understand that Obamacare and the ACA are the same thing, but that's a minority - most just want everything back the way it was before there was an ACA regardless of the consequences.  Mostly he's made efforts to do everything he said he was going to do.  Nobody should be surprised that 1/3 of the country still loves him.

They don't get to say "fark your feelings" and then demand we care about THEIR feelings.  That door swings both ways.  If they ever develop a sense of empathy, I'll consider their feelings.  But not a minute sooner.

No moron likes to hear the truth. It doesn't change the truth.

These folks bragged about how they didn't give a shiat about the feelings of others, yet they're the ones clutching their pearls and screaming about how their precious little farking fee-fees are hurt because they discovered that their guy lied to them about everything, mocked them on the way to power, and now ignores them as he does exactly the opposite of what he promised them.

They're morons of the first water, and they deserve to be mocked because they were told months and years in advance that they were being morons - gently at first, and then more stridently as it became clear that the morons were ignoring the warning signs and bullshiat to run headlong towards the cliff.

I'm sorry their little fee-fees are hurt. Perhaps, next time, they will turn to the average 8-year-old and ask, "does that guy sound like he's lying?" before voting for the next GOP candidate.

This might seem like a scarily large number, but if 4% of Trump's voters in every state had gone for anyone else (not even Hillary), he would have lost Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Florida. Which means that if he's going to win again, he needs to gain votes, let alone not lose them. And considering his current approval ratings, something big will have to change to make that happen. One almost wonders if the teeny little signs of his moving toward the middle are actually real...

2017-04-23 10:57:20 AM
Their only regret is that he hasn't killed you yet

2017-04-23 10:58:19 AM
Listen, and understand. Trump voters are out there. They can't be bargained with. THey can't be reasoned with. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

2017-04-23 10:59:01 AM
They aren't gonna have regrets until something significantly bad happens to them.

Same thing with war support: they're way into it right up until it's them/their kids on the line.

2017-04-23 11:00:36 AM
That's because 96% of Trump voters get 100% of their news from Fox.

Last night I was watching a bit of Faux and Kelly Anne was on with that judge lady.  She was touting how Trump had just signed the Veterans Choice act.  She spun it as if Trump was responsible for getting it done, even though this was nothing more than a scheduled re-authorization of the act created under Obama.

When that's the kind of bullshiat they're being fed, I can see why they haven't questioned their choice.

2017-04-23 11:00:47 AM
The surprising thing here is that as many as 4% of them have overcome their ignorance.  Bravo!

2017-04-23 11:01:00 AM
Trump supporters are trash.  Continue to hold them accountable for his deeds.  Never, ever do a damn thing for them.  Do not treat them as if they have a reasonable opinion.  They don't.  These men and women are witch burners.  Maybe they'll get it one day.  Maybe they eight

It still doesn't change the fact that they are still morons. The election did not change basic facts.

I'm waiting for my mom to express regret for voting for Pussygrabber.  Probably won't happen until Trump gets her grandson killed in a war.

This. Until they, themselves, feel the leopard tearing at their precious face-meat, they don't care. It has to become personal for them to understand, because they're not bright enough nor empathic enough to walk in the shoes of someone else and understand the ramifications of their own actions. "Fark you, got mine" is their driving force, and until they no longer have whatever it is that they think they "got," that driving force will remain in effect.

I'm sick of this statement.

No, he hasn't done or even tried to do most of what he ran on. The few things that do line up with what he said while campaigning only fit because he took both sides on that issue. We shouldn't consider that a campaign promise achieved or attempted.

He promised he would bring all those jobs back to coal miners and manufacturers. That's how he won, we're told.

I smarted you, but Trump and 2020 don't matter, not really.

We cannot merely continue the cycle breaking things and then trying to fix them, but not quite, and thus voting back in the party who breaks them. We aren't winning it like this.

We need the non-voters for that, and we need them in the primaries and the off years. Will trump be so bad as to wake them up? I won't hold my breath.

2020 and beyond don't matter because the US is irrevocably harming itself right now. We're voluntarily ending our hegemony.

This.

Those who regret voting for him won't even admit to voting for him now.  When this is all said in done I think you'll only have 25-30% of those who voted in 2016 say they voted for Trump.
