If it's true a lot of American citizens willingly went along with this for money and a shot at unconstitutional power. The only thing that could go any way toward even partly restoring confidence in the system is a lot of impeachments, and maybe even a few executions. Certainly imprisonments.

FTA: "drafted in October and distributed in the same way, warned that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was likely to win the election. For that reason, it argued, it was better for Russia to end its pro-Trump propaganda and instead intensify its messaging about voter fraud to undermine the U.S. electoral system's legitimacy"

Didn't Trump question the system's legitimacy around the same time?

Which, ironically, is exactly how the coroner noted all of those dead Russian's death certificates as 'suicide'.

His timing is amazingly coincidental.

Kinda like how Mike Flynn talked to Putin's people on Dec. 29th about not responding to Obama's sanctions because Trump would remove them, and the next day:

That Russia wanted to interfere with out election is not news. That Trump enlisted Russia's help is.
That the Republicans will interfere with an investigation is not news. That the press is doing its job is.

A lot of people have had little confidence in the system for a very long time. I doubt that'll help.

undermine voters' faith in the American electoral system

That's not hard though, really. The choice of candidates themselves undermined a lot of voters faith in the system. The Russians weren't especially clever - they just correctly identified how weak American politicians were this time around and exploited it with ease because there was already a great undercurrent of discontent.

All the Russia bogeymanning is just preventing any critical look at the parties and their immense weaknesses. But all the feebs love their newfound occupation of shaking their fist as Russia, so I suppose there's that.

Fun, huh?

Hillary Clinton was seen as such a threat that the combined forces of multiple political parties in America, along with a huge push by foreign powers, apparently conspired against her for years to keep her out of the White House.

The truly terrifying part of that statement is that it appears to be the truth.

A lot of good stuff has been covered in this thread.  I do wonder how much Obama knew and when he knew it.  It would be really tough for him to intervene in the election process.  But with the benefit of hindsight, something should have been done to prevent this, if enough was known about it back then.

Comey:  "We're opening an investigation into Hillary's emails and shiat again."
Obama: "Well if we're disclosing investigations shiat, we're also opening an investigation into whether Russia is colluding with the Trump campaign to undermine the election."

I hope that Hillary feels pretty good about all the stuff that's come out since the election in the sense that when you're playing something like Mario Kart and the other 3 players team up to beat you because they know you're so much better than them. I mean sure thanks to the rubes the U.S. is going to lose it's place at the top but, at least we have that consolation prize.

So more proof the Russians interfered in the American election and helped rigged it in Trump's favor?  And all those that benefited or actually are accomplices are currently in power, and are dismantling Democracy in America as we know it and cementing their places in power?

How's that STIGGINIT working out for you now?
