Awful dusty in here...

While I go in search of a tissue, here's my goofy dog and very grumpy old girl (who is obviously not happy sharing her bed with the dog) to say HAPPY CATURDAY!

Yay!  It's Caturday!  And I just found out that I don't have to start work tomorrow until 8, rather than 4!  I'm still going to bed now - I've been up since 3 and am quite tired.  See you fine folks tomorrow.

This is a fantastic idea. Having something purposeful to do is good for one's disposition and the kittens appreciate it, too. I know my heathens have enjoyed having me home over the  past several weeks.

I've been watching a lot of TV and I'm always amused by those cat food commercials telling me that I should treat my cats like family and get them
Blue Buffalo cat food as a Thanksgiving treat. My cats are family and they will be enjoying Thanksgiving turkey right along with us. Well, Target will. The other two are kinda indifferent to people food.

Happy caturday everyone!
Our cat-astrophie this week was my not understanding what the two boss' were trying to tell me. I eventually figured out that their cat tree had two loose landings that HAD to be taken care of at 2:AM in order for me to get some sleep. Things were calmer after that and we all were able to get some sleep.

On the good side, my kid is home for Thanksgiving break starting friday afternoon. After the usual "we must ignore you" by the masters, I am assuming they will be sleeping on him. To help the situation I dug out some of the catnip stash (heh heh heh and plan to put it under his sheets).

Scary - the daily IV I get every day for the next month is $350 a dose! Thank gosh I have insurance for two more months.

Meanwhile, the Toe Twins are going to the local Pet Valu store adoption area (in partnership with my shelter) tomorrow at 1PM. Hopefully, they will get a bit more exposure and gain some tolerance for other people outside of their comfort area ... and maybe... just maybe ... find a home of their very own for the holidays, complete with a Christmas tree to destroy play with  ;o)

Good wishes would be greatly appreciated, thanks ...

Eli's boys breif trip to the hospital cost 9k..insurance got most of it, but we will be paying 800+. The IV therapy was 900. Never thought saline was that expensive...

Damnit. I blame it on old age. I've only had a couple of drinks of beer. THEIR. THEIR names.

It is a blowy, snowy night outside but from Henry zero farks were given. He has his toasty blankie and his wall o' pillows so he's good.

I'm almost there. There's still some pain and stiffness but not a lot. The only thing keeping me from going back to work is a pesky thing called Thanksgiving.

Pharmacy rape is insane!!!  Sorry, but that's how it seems to me.  I just got a prescription for something my dr. gave me some samples of for my digestion, and it works really well.  My co-pay was 30.00 which was higher than usual (I have ins.) but I thought it was because I had a 90 day bottle, because I take 3 a day.  When I looked at the paperwork later, the no insurance cost is 650.00 for 1 month!!  I can't imagine how someone who has a life-threatening situation and no insurance can survive.
