Any chance whatever remnants are left of these "patriot" dipshiats could stage another hilarious revolution soon?  I really miss the livestreams and it's always fun to see gun nut fantasies get debunked IRL.

Well, technically, anything that helps a gun fire automatically or near to it is a "machine gun".

So if you loop some shoelace or rubber around a semi-automatic gun so it can bumpfire, you may be guilty of "manufacturing a machine gun" if they decide to charge you.

Also, who hasn't built a bomb at one point or another in the US. Isn't that the point of chemistry in high school? There was an entire lab we did with hydrogen collecting and balloons. That is technically a bomb. So 100% of everyone with a high school diploma probably has soot on their fingers.

I really wish they would open up the machine gun registry. Ammo costs way too much to enjoy one too much, but I'd love to have a Glock with a giggle switch and an AK the way God and saint Kalashnikov intended.

Plus, with them being registered, people would stop building them in there garage illegally.

2016-05-29 08:48:39 AM
Ya know, Picasso is great and all, but when I'm buying a machine gun I'd prefer the manufacturer to describe himself as a painter who knows how to put all the parts in the right place.

I mean would you pull the trigger on a machine guy made by a guy who thinks this is a fair representation of a human face?

It depends on whether you think the kind of machine guns mounted in the airplanes that strafed Guernica are functionally and morally equivalent to a revolver. Your average Bundyite (and a sizable minority of Farkers) would say sure, same-same, all guns are equally sacred. YMMV.

I wouldn't exactly be confident firing a an illegally converted full auto made by a gunsmith dumb enough to:

A)Think filing the serial numbers of a farking M2-HB would make it impossible to trace
B) Doesn't know that the FBI can easily raise removed serial numbers with (I think) acid and UV light.  You'd have to grind the metal down so far to completely obliterate it that you'd risk compromising the structural integrity of the weapon.
