"We'uns will keill yawl deeder than deed."

Don't worry. I won't mess with Texas. You couldn't pay me enough to even visit.

And before your righteous indignation kicks in, I used to *live* there. So I *do* know what I'm talking about. And yes, I know Florida sucks, too. Just not as bad as Texas. :)

Mrfuznut: You must be thinking of Arkansas.

BigPhilly: What can I say but 'Glad you're not here!'

It just goes to show you that crime doesn't pay. Especially if you're stupid.

BIGPHILLY: I think our fine state took top honors as the most stories in Chuck Shepard's "News of the Weird" for 2001..Oh, and "Go Bucs!"

Forsythe: Isn't Chuck based in the Tampa/St. Pete area? Seems like I remember he is... and if so, then he gets a jump on all the bizarro "local" news that doesn't make it into wide circulation. If not, hey, I'm a dumbass. Then again, that might not be a conditional situation. :)

And, amen! Go Bucs! It's been a good extended weekend. Bama won the Independence Bowl, Kentucky stomped Louisville, and the Bucs whooped the Ravens... now I just have to root for the Dolphins for a few hours and all will be well.

BigPeeler Ever check out Austin? It's a super town, especially during South by Southwest. I hear it's much different than Houston and Dallas, though.

I'm bored! Only slow people calling me today..all my regulars are on vacation.

Mmmm, vacation {/Homer voice}

agreed King...
"Upon hearing the news a crowd of fed-up locals gathered outside the jailhouse (some say the group numbered over 1,000). They demanded Ratliff be handed over to them for some "street justice."

haaa... the good ol' days....

SweaterGirl: I lived in Waco (way back in the 70s, before Koresh made it famous). Visited Dallas/Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Brownsville (yikes!) and Houston that I recall specifically. Don't recall visiting Austin, but from what I've heard, it'd be the most likely enjoy.

...err, it'd be the one I'd most likely enjoy. Woops!

Where did they drop off all the rest of the people at the bank, to take just two girls along? I can just see this in action: "Hey, look... two really hot college chicks who we just robbed... let's force them to go with us, maybe, just maybe... we'll get some..." This from whichever was in the Santa suit.

Apprehended in late December, tried in January, executed in Feburary......
Why can't we get back to THOSE good old days... then maybe we wouldn't have to hear from the Mumia Abul Jamal's every few months....
