(Iceland Review)   In Europe, it's pretty common to see cars with 'Country of Origin' bumper stickers like DE, CH, A, F, and so on. Guess what happens when someone slaps Iceland's sticker on their car and drives around Belgium   (icelandreview.com) divider line

You know who probably uses duct tape to attach bombs to things?

The reason was the sticker, as the police thought the 'IS' might refer to Islamic State.

All the best terrorists know that the way to remain undetected is to put fan stickers for their favorite groups on their bumper.

This has to be fake, or else the cops watched too many bad comedies where the villain just advertises he's a villain all day, right?

\please?

I remember the good ol' days in the UK in the 90s when the cops would pull over cars with "IRL" plates without cause all the time to check for turrists.

Good times.

The good news here is that one can no longer say that the U.S. has a monopoly on over-reacting, knee-jerk idiocy when it comes to terrorism fears.

Cars driven from Iceland to Belgium are are very suspicious unless they are one of those ambibious cars built in Springfield. In which case driving from Iceland to Belgium would be pretty stupid, but not totally impossible, especially if you went via Eire and the UK.But if you live in a Toon World like The Simpsons, why bother driving at all? Just say you did, fly, and have your care waiting for you when you get there. Possibly with a boot on it, but intact and travel-cost free.

That may be true, and still, chances of IS terrorists bumper-stickering their car are larger than those of a regular Icelandic bumper-stickered car to appear in Switzerland.

/ They should take their car to Kentucky, just to find out what will happen

It's a gymnastic move, to be sure, while standing, yet cromulent.

FWIW, "69" stands for the square of ate something.

Here in the States, a lady got pulled over by the police because the officer thought her "buckeyes" sticker was a marijuana symbol.

After realizing his mistake, he tried to cover it by suggesting she cover up or remove the sticker in case some other officer was as dumb as him.

She politely told him to stuff it.

You don't want to put these two stickers contiguously.  You might be mistaken for a Hillary supporter.

I remember that. Even though he had made an unlawful stop, there were no repercussions on his career. It was really surprising.

And that's not going to get them pulled over?
