the drudgereport.com is reporting that there is a Clinton conspiracy reaching high levels of the VH1 administration

2001-12-28 9:23:23 AM
Ironic that MTV and VH-1 run all those anti-censorship commercials. If this was some conservative getting booed, I'll bet the volume would have been turned up.

2001-12-28 9:31:50 AM
What, like this?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

;o)

nothing on this from the Conservatives at FreeConservatives.

But, the LA times does have an agenda helping Bill right here. Tinfoil hats, tinfoil hats.

Badger: good point.

2001-12-28 9:39:32 AM
And yet people continue to truse the media. Amazing.

People. Burn your tv's. Now.

2001-12-28 9:40:42 AM
Right Bigpeeler, I always truse the media.

D'oh!

2001-12-28 9:44:08 AM
Burn your TVs, because if you can't trust VH1, you can't trust anybody.

I'll kindly take the unbiased FoxNews from now on. I can't believe the Liberal media would DARE to edit out drunk firefighters booing.

Damn them straight to hell!

[image from freespace.virgin.net too old to be available]

(off the topic, doesn't Heston look like one of the guys from It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World in that shot? maybe it's the tooth gap)

Oh yeah, DAMN VH1 TO HELL! DAMN YOU BEHIND THE MUSIC!

..um..um..."Truse"..um...it's Latin, yeah Latin and it means to uh, to listen to the media a whole lot and become a stupidhead. Yeah that's it.

2001-12-28 9:53:46 AM
If anyone plans on burning their TV's, you could just send them to me for disposal. I'd especially like to burn your set if it's in excess of 30" and capable of displaying HDTV. Just doing my part.

2001-12-28 10:09:00 AM
Good point BADGER. Also I remember watching this and it was mostly the fire fighters doing the booing. The heros of our nation booing the ex presidents wife and current senator. When that happens it means something. Hillary deserves to be booed. She thought that she would be senator have some fun little tea parties and be able to run for president. Well if I had been there I had been booing.

so BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo

2001-12-28 10:09:13 AM
This is news? The mainstream media has been covering up mass revulsion to Hillary for years.

2001-12-28 10:19:16 AM
why were they booing?

Lookingforwardtofailure, she refused to do her famous ping pong ball trick.

2001-12-28 10:32:39 AM
Hillary is not an airhead. She's a conniving manipulating ambitious biatch and ignorant of what the real world is and what her constituants want but she's not stupid. Besides, what makes her any different than any male politician? Other than strong women scare the hell out of men. I dislike her as much as anyone but I'd vote for her for president on the grounds that she can't fark it up any worse than men have for the last 200 years.

2001-12-28 10:36:50 AM
It's typical that a liberal, sausage-legged, alien faced, whining megalomaniac like Clinton would receive such treatment. And it is sadlu true, Badger, that a stand up conservative like Bob Dole would gotten treated without such editing.

What baffles me is how this pig got elected by the people of New York in the first place.

2001-12-28 10:43:10 AM
The last thing this country needs is another dumbass Clinton in the oral (er) I mean oval office!

2001-12-28 10:45:29 AM
Pfft, who cares what VH1 does? They still have a hard on for Rico Suave videos.

2001-12-28 10:46:05 AM
i'm glad she is out of arkansas and someone else's problem now. i want to gag everytime i hear her spout off about being a real new yorker or how she understands their situation...hardly. welcome to the real world lady...there are A LOT of people that don't like you.

2001-12-28 10:46:42 AM
yeah, istead of another dumbass Bush (I think there is a defect in their family that makes every generation of Bush less intelligent and more lazy. One day I will run for president so I can take vacations every 4th week)

2001-12-28 10:47:05 AM
Or maybe, they just didn't think it was appropriate. Regardless of what your opinion of Hillary Clinton is, the treatment she received at the concert was deplorable. The crowd could have shown their disapproval of her by saying nothing. Not applauding, not booing, just nothing. It would have gone a far longer way in showing their unhappiness with her than by the childish display they chose instead.

2001-12-28 10:54:02 AM
True, they could have just turned their backs and ignored her but they didn't. I think the main point here is part of the media (if VH1 can be called media) altered the facts to affect the perception of the viewers.

Would VH1 have left it in if she was cheered? I'd say yes because that's indication of support by her constituents to the rest of the country. Booing shows a disapproval by the same people to the rest of the country. By changing this, VH1 is essentially telling the other states that while NY people may not fully support her (cheering), they don't oppose her (booing). Misrepresentation.

2001-12-28 10:57:37 AM
I'd boo a killer too.

2001-12-28 11:01:33 AM
Rather than edit out the booing, if VH1 has a problem with it, they should edit out Hillary's entire appearance. This way there would be no misrepresentation and no cries of scandal.

Radiothor: If you had seen her opponent you would know, That guy was a bigger ass then all of the Clintons combined, including Bills brother.

2001-12-28 11:10:14 AM
Tostfeld: No offense, but what in the hell are you talking about? Show they're disapproval by saying nothing?? It was a concert for crying out load. You cheer, you boo. Plus, it was New York. If these people want to voice (freedom of expression, etc, etc) their opinion, that's their right.

Why do people continue to coddle the Clintons? What in the world did they do to cause people to want to protect them like some retarded step-child. Don't boo them. Don't write negative stories about them. Don't investigate their past. Give me a break.

Lwr I think it has to do more with the NY demographic. Guiliani's indecision didn't help matters. Hopefully he will rectify that in the next election...

except from Conservatives who would be screaming out "VH1 IS CUTTING OUT HILLARY BECAUSE SHE WAS BOOED AND CENSORING FIREFIGHTERS, TO PROTECT HILLARY, THOSE SATANISTS!"

Vast Right-wing conspiracy, indeed.

Eli:

I think it would be along the lines of "VH1 is the evil communist thought police! We must crack down on VH1 and close them down to ensure they cannot do that again!"

As for the Clinton Body Count, it sorta lingers in the same realm of fact as the McCarthy accusations.

Some conservatives use more bullsh-t propaganda than others.

Example 1 (not safe for some workplaces)

Bigpeeler: My point is that she, nor anyone else on the stage, should have been treated the way she was. It was humiliating and mean-spirited, and not in keeping with the tone of the event.

Oh, and don't put words in my mouth. I have nothing against writing negative opinion pieces against the Clintons. In many cases, they are justified. In my opinion, if the crowd disapproved of Clinton being on stage, they should have acknowledged it by ignoring her. Just as I would have ignored, say, Bill O'Reilly or Tom Delay, or some other conservative.

The point of the article is trying to claim that VH-1 is being pressured by Viacom because of political reasons. It only goes to show how ignorant the writer is. Of course they are being pressured. But not over politics. Over money. VH-1 is a "feel-good" station. Avoiding the more unpleasant parts of that concert (with the exception of the crappy performances) makes sense from a purely economic standpoint. Advertisers prefer to keep the rah rah aspects on the concert front and center when they go to the commercial break. In short, it's all about corporate money.

As for the crowd, I agree with you that people have a right to express their opinion any way they choose. But in my mind, it's sad that our society has gotten so coarse that we are reduced to childish bashing of those we disagree with.

RobbieFal Uh, no. You're not using logic here; why would conservatives give a rat's ass about Hillary appearing on VH1? They wouldn't, unless it made her look better (like cutting out the jeering). Cutting her out completely wouldn't elicit a peep from anyone but a liberal.

Clinton Body Count = Bill Clinton and Ice-T collaborating on a Death Metal Rap project?

And for your link, it's off topic.

2001-12-28 11:32:14 AM
Tostfeld: Excuse the rant. Just kind of venting there. I have nothing against the Clintons, the Bushes, whoever. I do though, detest the media and talking about it pisses me off something terrible.

Take care.

My Snopes link was on topic, if it wasn't, then your murderer comment is also off topic. Please apologize immediently if that is the case Eli.

why would conservatives give a rat's ass about Hillary appearing on VH1?

It's sorta hard to explain conservatives, except for mentioning they have perfectly good legs, they just never learned to walk forwards, but like they wouldn't get pissy that the First Lady getting booed wasn't replayed over and over. You've seen the lengths they go to to humiliate and bring down Bill and Hillary. Alot of the sh-t on them with the Body Count is just plain bullcrap also. Give me proof of one Hillary murder and let me laugh at the slander.

Cutting her out completely wouldn't elicit a peep from anyone but a liberal

Why would Liberals be mad that Hillary wasn't shown getting booed by drunk firefighters?

I would have liked to see how Conservatives would have treated Clinton after a 9/11-esque attack, I'd say the Liberals have been pretty polite to Bush for the last three months.

Get the farking point?

Tost, with Hillary, it's merely a case of "live by the sword, die by the sword."

Eh, I think we have our wires crossed here... I was referring to the link with the dead pregnant women. And I didn't make any 'murderer' comment; I think those accusations against Clinton are silly. I do think he was a pretty crummy president, but for other reasons... You'll have to excuse me for not apologizing for false accusations.

It's sorta hard to explain conservatives

To me, that means you just don't know. So please don't try explaining.
