Hmm, sounds like some Farkers pointing out minor mistakes in spelling and grammar.
2001-12-28 1:28:36 AM
Like some Farkers?
2001-12-28 1:29:11 AM
Dammit 4 secs
2001-12-28 1:30:29 AM
Woah, I'm blown away. Too bad the guy didn't start recording this stuff before he got internet access!!
2001-12-28 1:33:40 AM
(1) Farking loser, and (2) Kintacky idits.
2001-12-28 1:33:41 AM
See? I'm SUPERIOR cause I notice minor errors in street signs.

Aren't I clever? HAW HAW

"...I wish I had gotten a photo of that US 127 sign I spotted in Owen County, Ky. in 1990, on which the US shield was upside down and the point faced up at the top of the sign! Unfortunately, that sign got replaced before I could get a photo..."
I dunno, man, it's just a hard, harsh life sometimes.
2001-12-28 1:34:59 AM
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much time on his hands.
2001-12-28 1:36:29 AM
Yah. This guy definitely has too much time on his hand. There's good news, though: at least I know that I haven't sunk to the lowest possible levels in my "misuse of time" efforts.
2001-12-28 1:38:56 AM
"Notice the peeling of the Type III reflective sheeting, and the difference in fonts between the "2's" in the KY 22 and KY 227 signs."

Notice what you're doing with your life, you farking moron.
2001-12-28 1:40:09 AM
the little white road or path in the blue portion of the sign is on the wrong side of the tree

Uh-oh! Well, that certainly is a life-threatening mistake. Imagine, some poor hiker who thinks the path is on the left side of the tree falls off a cliff, walks into a bear-trap, or even worse, realizes the mistake and becomes hopelessly confused, unable to move he freezes to death staring at the blaring mistake.

Thank god for people like that. Imagine all the dangerously incorrect signs he has documented... thousands of lives saved no doubt.

But really, what's worse? The fact that this guy has such a lameass site out there or the fact that we're all bored enough to read the whole page before posting about what a lameass site it is?
2001-12-28 1:44:55 AM

I sure as hell didn't read it all.
2001-12-28 1:45:08 AM
"There's a letter missing in one of these signs, located at the intersection of KY 52 and KY 499 near Irvine. I'll let you figure it out."

Acutally, there are TWO mistakes in this photograph: The "e" missing in "Center", and "WEST 1RVINE ELEMENTARY" should be "WEST IRVING ELEMENTARY" (the letter "I" should replace the numeral "1".)

I'm superior-er than the anal-rententive Kentuuuuuckian, I'm superior-er than the anal rententive Kentuuuuuckian, nannynanny booboo, stick yer head in dooo dooooo.

It's supposed to be Glencairn! But the bigger issue is: why is it on fire?
2001-12-28 1:50:47 AM
i'd have a field day if i had a website dedicated to pointing minor mistakes on anal-retentive Kentucky men
2001-12-28 1:53:06 AM
This thing intrigued me enough to go back to the site. This guy has little friends that send him pictures of the bad signs in their states.
Do you think they have conventions and shiat?
2001-12-28 1:55:18 AM
Schmez, if you pointed that out to the guy I bet he'd get a boner the size of Kentucky. Or kill himself for not noticing it himself.
2001-12-28 1:58:27 AM
I think he should take two of these and call me in the morning

I'm just thankful this eagle-eyed citizen has decided to use his powers for good, and not evil.
2001-12-28 2:15:39 AM
Wow. What an ass hole.
2001-12-28 2:16:38 AM
That's just sad..

And I thought I had no life! Ha!
2001-12-28 2:17:40 AM
many people have their hobbies...

like collecting stamps, match books, boobies, clocks, phones, cars,

like playing music, reading books, playing computer games, reading FARK Posts....

Oops scratch that last one... its an obsession

Anally retentive is trying to get a link posted on FARK
2001-12-28 2:20:09 AM
Darkwood I certainly didn't read the whole thing. Freak.
2001-12-28 2:20:45 AM
Ay, as long as the guy isn't screwing up peoples personalized plates, gooey for him.
2001-12-28 2:22:52 AM
I wandered onto a weird site the other day. This dude in Japan has a staggering number of photos of his pet rabbit. This patient creature lets him set it up in all kinds of places, with stuff on its head, etc. He takes many many many pictures. He has extensive archives. It's so insane I became mesmerized.
2001-12-28 2:23:50 AM
Fugazi: Ooh, the, if the shoe doesn't fit, what the hell's 'yer prob? Guess I'm not the only Freak.
2001-12-28 2:25:45 AM
All of a sudden, my hobbies seem a lot better.
2001-12-28 2:27:24 AM
Whoa there darkwood Just poking a little fun dude.
2001-12-28 2:28:15 AM
Darkwood How do I get to the control panel again????

Probably already been done but what the hell.

2001-12-28 2:29:56 AM
Citizenkain - Whats your poison
2001-12-28 2:31:25 AM
fugazi: didn't mean to come across quite so strong, johndx pointed out from my bio, I get just a wee bit strung out attempting to provide tech support to farkin' morons. I do tend to be a bit smartass, but I promise it's all meant in good fun as well, 'kay?
2001-12-28 2:35:05 AM
Every time I read the word Update, I thought of the t.v. show Unsolved Mysteries..

go figgure
2001-12-28 2:35:58 AM
DarkWood I'm quite certain no one here has read that whole page........if so they might need to join that anal retentive Kentuckian.
2001-12-28 2:36:44 AM
no KY jelly jokes... is this only an Australian product???
2001-12-28 2:39:39 AM
What the hell are you talking about?
2001-12-28 2:41:22 AM
Wow, I now have a new appreciation for type III reflective coating.

If this guy ever publishes software for driving direction, I'm buying the first copy. Sure won't be no need for a beta test.
2001-12-28 2:42:15 AM
JOHNDX: I would certainly HOPE that no one is actually reading the whole damn thing. I swear, it was a JOKE. I'm not really that much of an arsehole, I just play one on the internet. 8-P
2001-12-28 2:47:32 AM
JOHNDX: If you are refering to me... KY jelly is Australia's leading sexual lubricant. Found the site very funny based on this fact alone - let us not even consider the actual content.

KY Jelly~anal retentive

2001-12-28 2:51:42 AM

2001-12-28 2:59:47 AM

Let me know how many hits ya get......If anyone Overnighted me a Fark t-shirt, I'd wear it in Vegas when I'm there for New Years.....sorry, had to get my daily pre-vegas comment in....
2001-12-28 3:02:49 AM
KY~ Kentucky
KY~ jelly

2001-12-28 3:03:17 AM
Oh... what a hoot... The sign... it said US 490... (chortle) when it should have said... get this... It _SHOULD_ HAVE said... Kentucky 490! Bwahahahaha... Oh jeez... that's rich. I can't stop laughing.
2001-12-28 3:04:09 AM
My keyboard doesn't have a cents mark on it. How fair is that?
2001-12-28 3:10:19 AM
Shrug.. Some of these were funny, some were lame.. As far as being "anal retentive", i'm pretty sure this guy is either a programmer or engineer, and you should be GLAD that programmers and engineers are "anal retentive", otherwise blue screens and defective cars would abound..

Hmm, I think I just defeated my own point.
