Terry Glenn gets my vote for schmuck of the year.
2001-12-27 11:27:05 AM
First of all,
No Bears on this list of assholes.(Thank God McNown is gone!)
Second of all,
Kyle Turley shouldn't be on this list. He protected his quarterback from getting his head twisted off his neck.
Plus he listens to SLAYER and Pantera religiously before gametime.
2001-12-27 11:29:16 AM
Is it me or does ESPN have the absolute worst writers?
2001-12-27 11:31:28 AM
im not a 49ers fan, i swear.
hell, im on the east coast.
but TERRELL OWENS shouldnt be on the list.
hes the only WR in the league who can compare to R. Moss
which im no fan of Moss or the Vikings either.
but TERRELL OWENS has skills!!! bottom line!!!
i'd have him on my team any day ;-)
2001-12-27 11:31:33 AM
Slayerswine: So, you're saying its ok to go ape-shiat if your protecting someone who gets paid millions of dollarts to take those kinds of hits? Also, he listens to big-hair music before games? Him and about 90% of all the other (white) linemen in the game.
2001-12-27 11:31:44 AM
Michael Irvin loves the cocaine.
2001-12-27 11:32:34 AM
Spook: I dont think I'd put him up there with Moss. I think a lot of the problems with T.O. goes back to that stupid move last year when he posed at the 50.
2001-12-27 11:37:51 AM
My vote goes to Jerry Jones for making a mess of the Dallas Cowboys. I am a loyal Cowboys fan that has seen Jerry make bonehead decision after bonehead decision. Unfortunately, Jimmy johnson and Jerry Jones are no longer even on speaking terms.
2001-12-27 11:40:12 AM
Nate Newton busted with that funky weed..hehehe
2001-12-27 11:41:20 AM
I submitted this article hours ago under a different title
2001-12-27 11:42:16 AM

Clearly Jeff doesn't like you. Now shut up.
2001-12-27 11:51:12 AM
nate newton was my hook-up, he had the kindbud ;-)
(just kidding BTW)
2001-12-27 12:17:22 PM
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't see the play. Aaron Brooks(the Q.B.) had his head almost turned backwards in a 180 degree revolution.
The Jet player was trying to rip Brooks head off AFTER the whistle had blown. It would be considered assault on the street.
Turley flipped out I'll admit, but EVERY starting Q.B. asked said they'd LOVE to have Turley on their team.
He was protecting his Q.B., his fuggin' job.
As far as characterizing SLAYER and Pantera as big hair bands leads me to believe that you should be impaled with a B.C. Rich Kerry King V.
2001-12-27 12:25:42 PM
well spoken, slayerswine
2001-12-27 12:34:44 PM
Is it just me, or is Sehorn's wife farking HOT?
2001-12-27 12:46:47 PM
Hey, this isn't that bad of a team! I bet it could beat the Lions.
2001-12-27 12:48:17 PM
This article started out o.k. but about half way through, it didnt make sense. Poorly written p.o.s.
2001-12-27 12:59:28 PM
Slayerswine: No, I didnt see it live or on the replay. However, I dont think QB's should get special treatment. RB's and WR's get the same crap! How many times do you see a RB reading the back of his own jersey? Nobody goes ape-shiat then, because its generally accepted that RB's take a beating.

P.S. I was only joking on the big-hair thing. :)
2001-12-27 12:59:51 PM
Angie Harmon married Jason Sehorn.
Angie Harmon is Tom Harmon's sister.
Tom Harmon married Pam Dawber.
Tom and Angie Harmon were in-laws of the late, great teen idol Ricky Nelson.

2001-12-27 1:01:01 PM
Did anyone else notice that ESPN didnt come out with the Power Rankings this week? I wanted to see if my Pats moved up the ladder, or if they still were getting no respect.
2001-12-27 1:03:52 PM
Slayerswine: Do you mean Mark Harmon? Who is Tom Harmon? Mark Harmon is married to Pam Dawber, but IMDB doesnt show any relation to Angie..
2001-12-27 1:09:17 PM
WTF, i would rather read that cricket writing than that crap. what the hell was that guy talking about.
2001-12-27 1:15:09 PM
I stand corrected.
Tom Harmon is Mark Harmon's dad.
Both Tom and Mark were Q.B.'s at UCLA and I think both were M.V.P.'s of the Rose Bowl.
Angie Harmon is definitely related to Mark thru a sibling relationship.
And remember Traci Nelson and her 2 twin brothers/pop band Nelson?
Ricky Nelson's kids.
I'd take Nelson over 95% of the crap coming out today, that is how sad music is now a days.

Is it just me, or does Angie Harmon look like she needs to eat a sandwich or 10?
2001-12-27 1:22:54 PM
I wonder if the Pats could get Terrell Owens for Terry Glenn? No, I wonder if they "should..."
2001-12-27 1:25:42 PM
Slayerswine: Then, I feel bad for Mark Harmon.. because it would be too funky to want to bang the shiat out of your sister.
2001-12-27 1:31:59 PM
Slayer - What do you mean Bears players should be on there. What has any of them done this year that would land them on that list. Something tells me your team didn't make the playoffs this year.
2001-12-27 1:46:42 PM
Oh great. Thanks a lot ESPN.

I was already confused with "bad" and bad.

Now every time someone says "resented" how am I supposed to know if that's a good thing or a bad thing or a bad thing?
2001-12-27 1:48:40 PM
Randy Moss needs to meet Bin Laden... both cry babies (and yes, I am a semi-Vikings Fan unfortunately)
2001-12-27 2:02:26 PM
Komar is lost. Slayer's team is in the playoffs. Da Bears!
2001-12-27 2:11:48 PM
How about Corey Fuller? He's one of the dirtiest corner backs in the league! I hated that guy when he was on the Vikings.
2001-12-27 2:34:35 PM
As a 49ers fan, I think T.O. should be on the list. He's a dynamite WR and quite frankly, I don't dislike him nearly as much as many other Niner fans (my father, for one)... but the dude has major attitude problems, and is even resented by a vast majority of his own team's fans for going against the "history of sportsmanship" in the Niner organization. I think it's a big deal because the franchise has spent most of its years across the Bay from the Raiders, renowned for their dirty play.

And as a resident of the Bay Area who will root for the Raiders as long as they aren't playing the Niners (or their win would hurt the Niners)... I'd say the owner on this list should be Al Davis. Seriously, Jerry Jones is a shiathead... but Al Davis is the only man in the history of professional sports to move his team to "greener pastures" only to find them full of cowchips, then move his team back to the city they came from, but only after an ungodly amount of new seats were added to their once and future home stadium (affectionately referred to as "Mt. Davis"), so that NOW... it's damn near impossible to sell out a Raiders home game... there are just too many seats, and the highest 5-10,000 of them are terrible, terrible seats where you can't see shiat and the wind that rips off the Bay just tears your face in half.

So fark Al Davis.
2001-12-27 2:47:08 PM
Miles_OToole: You noticed that too? She looks like she could stand to eat a few big juicy steaks. She looks like a farkin' scarecrow.

Randy Moss - at the top of the list. 'Nuff said.

As for local-fans-most-resented-player, I'd have to say the Steelers' Kris Brown. He's missed, what, fifteen field goals this year?? He gets booed every time he goes out on the field!
2001-12-27 2:48:57 PM
throw goober boy peyton manning in there. what a doofus. he's going to be as annoying as farkin' dan marino before it's all said and done.
2001-12-27 3:00:15 PM
She looks like she could stand to eat a few big juicy steaks.

She can eat my big, juicy stake any day.

God, how could I let that one go? HOW?!
2001-12-27 3:06:06 PM
HeatMiser: Although I wasn't referring to tubesteak, you have a point!
2001-12-27 3:37:50 PM
9/10: I'd still throw a dick in her.
2001-12-27 3:39:55 PM
Oh, and do any of you people understand what the word "resented" means? It seems like half of you missed the whole point of the article. Although, with crap writing like that, it's understanable.
2001-12-27 3:49:20 PM
I wonder if Drew Bledsoe resents Tom Brady?
2001-12-27 4:30:08 PM
Take Keyshawn off the list. Sure the boy can talk, but he plays his ass off (Unlike Moss). I cheered when he finally got a TD, not only because it was his first this year, but because it was Loss #12 for the Lions.
2001-12-27 4:41:53 PM
was the writer getting paid by the word or something? wrap it up.
2001-12-27 4:50:20 PM
Things i'm happy for : No Packer anywhere on the list.

I get to be on the outside looking in at the likes of Randy "pussy-boy" Moss & the assnine Jesse Ventura. Now that's entertainment!
2001-12-27 4:53:30 PM
Mark Harmon is married to Pam Dawber.
Angie Harmon is an only child and she is super farking hottttttttt!!!!
2001-12-27 4:58:16 PM
Are you sure?
I read in TV Guide when she started up on Law & Order that she was part of the Harmon clan I was alluding to.
2001-12-27 5:02:49 PM
check out her vital stats here
2001-12-27 6:25:02 PM
As a WSU grad, I would agree with Ryan Leaf's selection to the list. He was as big of jackass in college as he is now.
2001-12-27 6:34:25 PM
Writer has his head up his ass. Martin Gramatica didn't hurt himself in a celebration. He injured his hamstring during a kickoff, and aggarvated it during a PAT. Of course, it's an "opinion" column, so there's no use checking into those pesky "facts"...
2001-12-27 7:09:41 PM
Martin Gramatica of the Bucs didn't hurt himself celebrating, but Bill Gramatica of the Cardinals did.
2001-12-27 11:21:17 PM
[image from too old to be available]
Get these guys on the field!
2001-12-30 3:35:41 PM
Sorry about the misunderstanding slayer. Bears will go straight to the Big Game seeing as theyre destroying detroit. Anyway back to the subject Theres also a link to the best players,teams,games,etc... on the page. Bears comeback against the Browns made it.
