The Mirror SUCKS!
2001-12-24 2:33:09 PM
Well it was good for an argument at least
2001-12-24 2:33:42 PM
so does this make all comments in the earlier post irrelevant?

Where's Fb- and his rhetoric now? The media lies (GASP!), Fb- lies (GASP!) - it's very nearly time for the apocalypse.
2001-12-24 2:35:03 PM
If Fb- posts, then the terrorists have... ah, fark it. Stupid line anyway.

Meanwhile, a separate international intelligence operation is understood to be monitoring a further 20 ships that are believed to have connections with Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda terror organisation.

still looking for the right ship, maybe?

Funny how many stories like this mysteriously end up being "mistakes".
Either the journalists really suck, or the governments are trying to keep a lid on things to avoid mass-panic.
Conspiracy theorists could have a field day.

I pointed it out in the thread yesterday: the wording in that article was very dubious and smacked of sensationalism. The media is more interested in getting attention than telling the truth.

" In other news this did'nt happen today."
2001-12-24 3:07:44 PM

Uh, we meant to say the numbers could be as high as 25,000....

Police today have confirmed 7,500 missing person from the World Trade Centers ...

"One person died 6,000 times ..."

I rest my case.

Merry Christmas!

I live in London and there was hardly any mention of this. When you deal with British press, you also have to digest the massive amounts of fabricated stories. It's hardly surprising since everyone down here has got used to the constant lieing by our tabloids (which are probably the worst in the world).

I love this:
"New information, combined with the relentless efforts of scientific experts"

Did it take a combined relentless effort of scientists to look at a crate ripped open with a crowbar on a fishing boat filled with rotting fish to determine that there were no explosives? Hahaha!

I hope someone's head rolls for this, but it seems unlikely..When I read that headline, I experienced a sort of terror I've never felt- my girlfriend is in London at the moment..And even though the report was that the attack had been thwarted, it made me worry seriously. I'm glad it's blown over, but my heart is still beating fast..
2001-12-24 4:42:01 PM
It's all good. Things like this are going to happen. It is to be expected in the current state of panic.
2001-12-24 4:44:40 PM
It has been happening too often. The media is putting conspiracy theorists to shame.

A tip off, huh? Probably a ruse to divert attention while the real ship slips in.
2001-12-24 5:40:12 PM
Yeah, this just goes to prove my theory that there are no such things as "terrorists" and this is just a massive media and government plot to trick us into giving up our civil liberties to make it easier for the huge corporations to take over.
2001-12-24 5:50:24 PM
Drummer: That's hilarious, and it works on so many levels.
2001-12-24 6:27:51 PM
Well, and don't really want to do it, but...

I told you so!

And, for those of you crying for Fb-'s blood, I don't think even he bought the story in the first place...

Hell, I don't believe I'm defending him, he can do that himself quite well...

But it's christmas...

Merry christmas everyone!
