Sooo glad I've never spent a penny on TF.

Goooooooo FOOBIES!!!!

2015-11-03 6:43:43 PM
Best of luck!

2015-11-03 6:43:59 PM
Well, his intentions were good. Hopefully it will make a difference down the road.

2015-11-03 6:44:05 PM
Looks like the results in now are from some of the reddest parts of the state, and Bevin only has about 51% of the vote so far.

Yeah, this shouldn't take much longer.

2015-11-03 6:44:07 PM
dare I ask how it is going?

2015-11-03 6:44:12 PM
3.5% of 1.5% of the vote so far. This means that someone other than your wife voted for you, Drew. Congrats.

2015-11-03 6:44:32 PM
So, just throwing it out there... Who gives a sheit?
And if you do, why??

Because whoever wins this will be my governor?

2015-11-03 6:46:08 PM
It can only be Drew.

I committed at least 17 counts of in-person voter fraud for you, Drew. Counting you and your wife, that's at least a quarter of a tenth of a percent.

Aim for the stars.

2015-11-03 6:46:24 PM
May the farce be with you

2015-11-03 6:46:36 PM
Good luck Drew! Regardless of the outcome, thank you for pushing to break the two-deadlock.

2015-11-03 6:46:49 PM

Percise1: So, just throwing it out there... Who gives a sheit?

Because I like rooting for underdogs who face insurmountable odds against them.

2015-11-03 6:47:10 PM
Hoping for a come from behind win!

Percise1: So, just throwing it out there... Who gives a sheit?

Well... I do, for one.  Because I'm interested to see if Drew can make a difference in how politics runs, and because I've met him and he's a decent guy.

So, just throwing it out there... If you don't give a shiat, why did you feel the need to click in here and make the effort to piss in other people's Heinekens?

2015-11-03 6:47:45 PM
I'm hoping for a "fark you, fark you, you're cool, fark you" concession speech.

Benevolent Misanthrope: Because I'm interested to see if Drew can make a difference in how politics runs

Spoiler alert: He can't.

Bevin's concession speech should be epic.  Seriously, dude is nuts.

If this isn't a euphemism for buttsecks, it should be.

Kentucky results:

George W. Bush 872,492    56.5%
Al Gore 638,898                  41.4%
Ralph Nader 23,192            1.5%

2015-11-03 6:49:01 PM
All that third part candidates can realistically do in most places is give voice to issues, and Drew seems to have done that.

That being said, for the sake of the people of KY, I hope he didn't split the vote and cost Conway the election.

2015-11-03 6:49:02 PM
And just like every other election, I'm sick of hearing about it and will be glad that it's finally over.

2015-11-03 6:49:28 PM
What's disappointing is that Drew can't  even be accused of Nadering the vote for now.

I believe you have to get both TotalFark and BasicFark for tat.

Early signs point to a very close race, and not good at all for Drew.  Results so far for Lexington.

In 2011, Steve Beshear won Lexington by 16k...

Only 17? I did that in the first five minutes...

I mean uh..

Shame on you? Yeah that's it, shame on you.

I agree. Drew is the candidate that we all want, real change , honest change. Oh man I forgot for a moment that I am Canadian. Drew can you move up here?

I really hope you're right about that.

Seriously.

And a chunk of Fayette County (Lexington, I think.  One of the two big cities) arrives, and Conway takes the lead.  For what it's worth, Drew ticked up a little too.

2015-11-03 6:51:25 PM
Forget Drew's attempt at Nadering the KY guv race.. can we get a live thread for the Ohio weed legalization vote?

Also of interest, Alison Lundergan-Grimes (of getting blown out by Mitch McConnell fame) is crushing it in Lexington for the Secretary of State race.  She's got nearly 10000 more votes than Jack Conway.

No
Net
 whatever

I'm sorry for Drew, but Kentucky has about as much chance of electing him guv'nah as Ohio has of passing legal pot. For the same, unfortunate reasons.

You're my boy, Drew!

2015-11-03 6:54:21 PM
Last I read, someone other than Drew was going to win. Good on him for trying though. We need more like him.

But in more significant news, Ohio is voting to legalize recreational and medicinal marijuana today.

2015-11-03 6:54:22 PM
Right now the latest update shows Drew with 2,179 votes after 5.4% reporting. That may be nowhere near winning but it's a nice start for a number of people ticking off your name on the ballot.

2015-11-03 6:54:25 PM
Spoiler alert: Drew lost.

2015-11-03 6:54:32 PM
He's currently ahead in Breckinridge cty.
