Which NFL quarterback, having a sub-par year, is having a hard time coming to grips since game ball psi became more scrutinized?

Peyton Manning.

This word, it does not mean what you think it means. It's possible that the Patriots go undefeated, but 19-0 is like a 7% probability now, not probable at all. You can still get 5:1 odds on the Pats just winning the superbowl alone, which should put an undefeated probability in perspective,.

Thats a bit premature - the Jets have a strong run defense. So the Pats just didn't run the ball AT ALL. I mean, I think Blount had 3 carries, and they ran the ball matbe 6-7 times all game.

Oh, and Brady's running reminded me of this:

I'd like to thank my fantasy football league commissioner for holding our day the day before the brady suspension was overturned,  thus allowing me to draft him in the 8th round.

Brady running is like Bird dunking.  Yep, he did it, but it didn't happen a lot and when it did there wasn't much...well, style....but got the job done.

More like he did it whenever it was there.  Similarly, Tom Brady scares defenses so much that they try to shut down the pass, but he's damn good at reading defenses.  So when the defense says "run on us", he's like, "okay".

He worked in the off-season on running & scrambling more because other teams are relying on it more.
That's what makes Brady great. He's not committed to any style of play, and works to improve any part of his game.

And the Jets' coach handled the final two minutes poorly. That the Jets even got within one score and recovered the onside kick was luck. Had they not left Gronk uncovered for the Pats' final touchdown, NY would have been in great shape to win the game.

Plus LaFelle of New England had a ton of drops yesterday to to inactivity. I believe the same won't happen the next time the teams meet

If the Patriots go 19-0, Brady should walk Gisele out onto the field at the end of the Super Bowl and fark her on the 50 yard line on top of a deflated football, with his middle finger up the entire time.

I can't afford another of my starting RBs to be send to the bench. I've already suffered the loss of Alfred Morris, Tevin Coleman and likely Joseph Randle.

At one point it looked like I had a bevy of solid RBs.

All I have left is Dion Lewis and Gurley... so I'm happy to hear the Pats couldn't run.

bionicjoe: He worked in the off-season on running & scrambling more because other teams are relying on it more.

He did that his rookie season.  He was the slowest player at the Combine; Belichick said if he was gonna make it in the NFL he needed to improve his speed.  One season later he wasn't even the slowest on his team.
But no, he's never gonna impress anyone with his legs no matter how hard he works.  Again, it's just a sparingly used constraint.  He's always good for that once-a-game 11-yard scramble on 3rd and 10 when the defense sees an empty backfield and completely bails on the run.  It wouldn't work at all unless he terrified defenses with his arm, which is a funny thing to say because scouts panned his arm strength.

I never really had an opinion on him until I watched the Belichick episodes of "A Football Life" on the NFL network. Whenever they showed him, he came off as a giant football nerd. It was pretty refreshing.

He's been consistently better at extending plays by moving around this year than ever before but I think all runs still count as fluke circumstances.

It is amazing that Brady is playing so well this year at 38.
He was incredible against an impressive Jets defense where if he had been less than incredible the Pats would have lost.
I thought the loss of Solder,Cannon,Stork and Mason on the O-line would doom the Pats against Harrison,Wilkerson,Richardson and Williams(son) but Tom be nimble, Tom be quick.

By definition the Patriots will always play a cream puff schedule because they're the only team that never has to face the Pats.

I'm hoping to remember it as the year crybabies whined louder and louder as the Pats kept winning and I laughed harder and harder at the frustrated tantrums of whiny losers.

That was such a great game.  After the second play I thought we were gonna get blown out 45 to 3 again.  Pretty sure Fitzpatrick had more passing yards than Brady at the half too.  Both teams made great halftime adjustments and it really was anybody's game.  I'm about as satisfied with that loss as anyone can really be with one.

It was a well played game, I was worried the Pats O-line would embarrass themselves and I hoped Fitz would throw a bunch of interceptions but even the weaker links played pretty well.
The Jets deserve respect, the Pats caught a big break when Ivory tweaked his leg right away and I don't expect any 9.5 point lines when the Pats have to go to New York.

I enjoy the lamentations of sore losers. their sad petty spitefulness is like a license to gloat.

Was that really the spread? I wouldn't have taken that, either. #1 Defense vs. #1 Offense means a close game, even with the D being on the road. LaFell with 11 drops also helped NYJ.

That's where the line started. It was 7.5 by game time.
