It's kind of clever for a headline.  Not sure  why the admins didn't feel any love for it.

2015-08-06 5:38:37 PM
Because they're idiots?

I had nothing to do with it, but I'm guessing it got the redlight because the joke has been done before:

Maryland Mansion destroyed in fire, still plans to release new album and tour later this year

Marilyn Manson burns down

wtf, that's an amazing headline.

I'll give this one a green, but  DisseminationMonkey is right, this exact headline has been done several times now. But what the hell, it's Friday night and most of us are out drinking.

I have a feeling Subby's been waiting 10 years to post this headline.  Scouring obituaries.

I remembered the original headlines, but I think this one is the best.

"meaning that all of the combustible gases and all the fuel packages in that room were instantaneously ignited,"

Well there you have it, they were idiots for storing their fuel in the living room.

Androgynous cross dressing mumblers wearing too much make up ruled the fire to be accidental?

Meh. It's all relative to the size of your steeple.

3 times and that's too much for some people? Hell there's so many tired fark clichés going on in headlines but now we need to worry about it?

The Pyles both wanted to keep the tree longer, because they felt like they hadn't had a chance to enjoy it.

They did....for the rest of their lives.

2015-08-07 10:31:55 PM
Wow a fark headline that made me laugh. It's the first time this year.

Good jerb, subby!

An exhaustive six-month probe has determined a damaged electric plug under a large Christmas tree sparked a mansion fire...

Investigators conducted controlled burns on three trees at the ATF's Fire Research Lab in Beltsville, Maryland. Cheplak said the tests showed that a tree watered daily did not burn as quickly or as intensely as trees watered once a week.

I'm certain this is standard operating procedure for everyone who dies in a house fire caused by a Christmas tree, and not just the super wealthy.

Friend: "Have you heard of Marilyn Manson?"
Me: "Is that like Charles Manson's wife?"

I don't like that DisseminationMonkey just got a green because the farking staff is out drinking, calling it in (they don't have phones, at least not connected to copper), it is what it is, this isn't what I want to hear, failure is an option, do it now and apologize later, perception is reality, it just wasn't meant to be.

They could have just asked me. If I wasn't on mobile I'd post pictures of the fire my friend and I had in the desert ten years ago. We took his grandparents crusty old dried out Xmas tree and made it the centerpiece of a fire.

Within seconds the fire was 15 to 20 feet high.
