wademh: How much has FIFA spent recently on equipment to detect and confound electronic surveillance devices?

Considering the past few days, not enough.

Now to see him try and beat the FBI

One can hope that the feds already have evidence on him and are waiting to gather more and present a case. One can hope..

Well, most of the people the Feds arrested were his underlings. They're male, age 40 and over, and are used to a certain lifestyle that doesn't include having a guy named Worm stab them with long objects of one variety or another. A good number of them are of the age that they would die in prison if convicted and given the maximum sentence. Obviously, they don't want that, so they'll sing about Blatter if a deal is made. The whole reason we know about any of this at all is that Blazer wanted to avoid tax cheat prosecution, so he went to London with a wire and sat in some FIFA meetings.

If Blatter isn't in American, Swiss, or British custody before the year is out, I'll be surprised.
