rlandrum: James P Hogan wrote about this in the 70's, I think in The Genesis Machine. Basically, as soon as you send something back in time, all future universes disappear. This was natures way of preventing paradoxes. The uncertainty principle still applies, and the altered past may not resemble the future you intend. A good read.
