This could happen in the finest of restaurants too.

Let's see a show of hands, who here would run screaming to the media if they found a bug in their food? Likely no one sane.

Not that we are likely to ever get a follow up on this one. My money however is on if it should be found to be a worm, that it is also found to be uncooked.

Unlike you, lady, I am a fussy eater and McDonald's chicken nuggets are disgusting, worms or not.

Chick Fil A, on the other hand, I could eat theirs until I die in an obesity-ridden nugget explosion.

Except no intact chicken parts are left when McNuggets are formed from pink slime.

I'm torn because, on the one hand, McDonalds is an Evil Corporation and their food reminds me of ass-sweat, but on the other, that photo looks like someone took a bite out of a McNugget and then stuck a worm in there. I'm not here to judge, (who here can truly say they HAVEN'T stuck a worm someplace they shouldn't?) but if it's as fake a claim as it looks, she'll get exactly jackschitt. As it should be.

I once found (at least two) live maggots in a bag of liquor store peanuts. I took it as a lesson.

When I was a kid, I used to love finding a vein in the fried chicken. I would hold it up in front of my family, then eat it. I always got the choice pieces of chicken because for some reason no one wanted any more.

I thought the same thing.

In other news, while I was eating a breaded chicken patty for lunch today, I discovered a small chicken bone inside of it.  Since I actually chew my food as opposed to inhaling it, I didn't swallow it.  Instead of running to the media, calling a lawyer or calling the manufacturer's complaint line, I just fished it out and finished my lunch.  It was delicious.  And in other other news, chickens have bones.  And veins.

I'm not surprised that somebody made a big fuss about finding a vein in a chicken tender.  I am surprised that a news outlet decided to run with it using the worm angle without having it inspected by a lab first.  Even on a slow news day, this is a retarded story and everyone involved seems retarded.

Sure looks like one.  Plus, It's awfully hard to imagine any worm emerging from the McNuggetizationTM process without looking like it actually belonged there.

I think plenty of stuff gets by the mechanical separation process. I've certainly seen a vein in a McNugget before. I don't think a small bone fragment is all that rare either.

Harry_Seldon: Aren't those Chicken McNuggets actually pretty good ingredients by chicken nugget standards?

Yes. Nothing but white chicken meat. It's probably a vein or a piece of connective tissue that slipped through.

Because of parallel universes, whether or not it happened, it still happened. That is why we are talking about it now. Furthermore, because of the multidimensional nature of the universe, it is happening right now but as a fourth dimensional holographic that includes earth also where it was 70 years ago.

So? Do you think they built a mock-up factory just to show a production line of how nuggets should be made just to tear it down afterwards so they can continue using "pink slime" and never, ever be caught lying about what is in their products?

Take the best chicken you can find, make sure you get one that was cuddled for three hours a day and fed saffron-laced grain by hand from solid gold eyedroppers. Grind it up. What is its colour? What is its texture? It's pink. It is slimy. But it is NOT the "pink slime" that had people wetting their panties a couple of years ago.

There are plenty of reasons to hate McDonalds, there is no need to fabricate them.

My mother once won a massive (10 pounds or so) Toblerone.  She gave away most of it, but it still took her about a year to get down to the very last chunk.

This isn't her video, but it's what she described. (Not Safe For Chocolate Lovers)

I am sorry.

http://www.snopes.com/food/prepare/msm.asp

McDonald's Chicken McNuggets are typically offered as an example of a popular MSP-based food, since 2003 that product has been made with all white meat rather than MSP

Pink slime and MSP are not the same thing anyway.
