gopher321: ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE.
a particular individual: Now I'm thinkin' Voyager 2 type things.Voyager 2, where are you now?Looking back at home and weepingCold and alone in the dark voidWinding down and bleepingEver dimmer ever thinnerFeebly cheeping in the solar windsI'll turn you up,sail on, sail on, sail onOn past the howling stormsThrough electric orange skiesAnd blinding methane rainSail on, I'll turn you upNever bring me down to earth againLet me blaze a trail of glory across the skyLet me traipse across it's golden highLet me marvel in wonder and unfettered gazeAt the bigness and implausibility of beingYes, stretch out your handsInto infinity you human thingsPast blind moons and ice cream worldsYou hurl your metal ball of dull intelligenceAnd show us all our fragile gripAs we too track with youSlower but no less insistentLike the only fertile seedIn the barren vault of being, sail onHurtling towards the waiting tomb of empty worldsWaiting for the final primary come of lifeI'll turn you up
PleaseHamletDon'tHurtEm: Just reminded me we forgot this oblig:
sxacho: I guess it was due to cropping and zooming, but to me it looked like a more-or-less direct approach followed by a pretty severe turn once "over" the moon. Regardless, that was hella cool.
aerojockey: sxacho: I guess it was due to cropping and zooming, but to me it looked like a more-or-less direct approach followed by a pretty severe turn once "over" the moon. Regardless, that was hella cool.It was the fake-ass starry background that made it look like the perspective wasn't changing. (In fact the "stars" are the same even after Voyager bypassed the moon and was looking back in the opposite direction.)
