While mortality does decrease with treatment, it is a tough disease to beat requiring an ICU. 

Vaccines are showing promise as well, but the most important thing is quarantine and prevention of spreading the outbreak. Within 3 weeks the victims will either overcome the virus... or die.

But we can't eradicate the disease. Too many biological reservoirs. Like someone said upthread, breaking the funeral habits is important but so ingrained in the culture that it will be difficult.

Dammit all. How the hell did that happen? Gloves/mask/eye protection at all times. Hell maybe even a full isolation suit.

Makes you wonder if this type of disease wasn't responsible for the waves of human migration. Why move if you got a good thing going on.

Need to spend some additional DNA points on Transmissions - maybe take Extreme Bioaerosol.  That should do it.

Have you tried the new planet of the apes scenario in plague inc.? they introduce fomites, which make infecting rich countries a lot easier, that and there is an airborn/blood combo (extreme hemo-aresol i think) that when combined with bleeding symptoms puts the infectivity through the roof.

Ever seen a "medical facility" in a third world country?  Often it's just an open air hut with what medical equipment they can get.  The doctors know sterilization procedures and such but supplies cost money.  And if your choice is certain death for a patient or possible death because of conditions you can't fix in the immediate future, what have you got to lose?
