The description of the app makes it sound pretty cool.  But the examples they show in the slideshow are underwhelming at best.

The actual app is timera.com ... some Seattle PI intern is uploading click-bait again.

This Seattle PI was copy pasta from curbed.seattle.com which in turn was just some blogger talking about Timera being used in Europe and thinking hey we ought to try it too.

The major drawback with using this on a city as new as Seattle is most of our stuff wasn't that great 100 years ago to begin with, and a whole lot of it has been torn down now. The Timera for European cities has famous war photographs from the 1940s mixed in with today.

Those pictures are awful. Looks like they did not even try to match the camera angle.
