I do have a ton of compilation CDs from the early 2000s, but they were mostly samplers put out by individual record labels. Atticus, Drive-Thru Records Sampler - You'll Never Eat Fast Food Again, Dude, That's My Skull!, Family Values Tour 1999, Fearless Records Sampler, Hopelessly Devoted To You v5, Made in Wisconsin, Metalliska, Monitor This! Feb-Mar09, Punk Rock Strikes Back, Vol. 2, Punk You Vol. 1, Punk-O-Rama Vol 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Return of the Rock, Rock Against Bush, Saddle Creek 50, Saddle Creek Sampler, Ska Sucks, Ska- The Third Wave Vol. 4, Sorry If It Isn't Cool Anymore!, They Came From The South Side, Vagrant Records - Another Year on the Streets Volume 2, Vans 'Off The Wall' Sampler, Van's Warped Tour 2001, 2002, 2003, Wiskansin - Skankin' Till the Cows Come Home..

I actually have a copy of that first CD around here somewhere.  It was actually pretty solid in terms of what was on it and the balance of pop and rock/alternative.

I swear, I had to actually count on my fingers to believe what my head told me.

A '98 release, depending on the month, would be 15-16 yrs ago. God bless you subby, for being young enough to start the headline with "Want to feel old?" And startling me lol. Thought I misread and the 50 was how many years ago. If you were 20 then, 35 now. I recall thinking I was old then too.

That reverses when you hit 50 or so and you hear of someone your age dying. "He was so young, only 55".

Still chuckling, I'll show myself out before I get thrown out.

I can't believe people buy those anymore.  Granted I have my share of oldies compilations to get the songs that I want.  From back before the download days.  But now?  No way I'm going to buy a CD, let alone a compilation CD.
