I 'hope' that the meter isn't actually real and that all the compressors were disabled and fridge lights replaced by LEDs.

Germany 'wastes' 40% of it's energy?  Wow.  I thought they were good compared to americans.

Those refrigerators were all mounted with the compressor radiators facing in... If they were turned on, it would be boiling hot inside that igloo. Since the materials spec sheet lists "1.718 meters of wire", though, I'd have to assume only one could be powered.
