(Onion AV Club)   A&E decides to resurrect The Returned, not to be confused with the novel The Returned, which has already been adapted by ABC as Resurrection. And to ensure further confusion, it's being developed by Carlton Cuse   ( divider line

Actually the two shows come from different sources although the concept is very similar. The returned is based on a French film name Les Revanants and  Resurrection  is based on a novel by Jason Mott called The Returned. Believe me you're not the first person to be confused by this one.

God, I can't wait for more of Les Revenants. In The Flesh, too.

Is Resurrection worth my time?

Depends, how valuable is your time?

Sounds like a joke, but it isn't, really. It's not bad. It's entertaining. It's certainly not great. If you've only got time for a couple of hours of TV a week, don't waste your time. If you watch a couple of shows a day, I'd certainly add it two your list.

For reference (to gauge my tastes), from currently airing television,

If I was watching only 2-3 shows a week, they would be Fargo, Game of Thrones, & Hannibal

As I actually watch much more than that, my current viewing list includes Fargo, Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Resurrection, Grimm, Revolution, Continuum, Supernatural, Arrow, Elementary, Black Box, Orphan Black, Believe, Salem, Last Week with John Oliver, The Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, & The Blacklist (and others I'm probably forgetting, plus a lot of Brit TV that doesn't air here and that I get from dubious sources...)

Les Revenants, both the movie and the tv series are excellent.
I hear that the BBC is also making their own version, which should confuse things further.
