wow, calm the fark down.  it's a question and a relevant one.  just becasue he's an a$$hole you're going to paint her as the saint / victim?  glad the guy is getting his ass handed to him and that should happen, but you're not 1% concerned about the way this is being brought to light?  no way do i think or would say anything like this guy but I also know that there's some stuff I've said when my wife and I have fought that I am glad aren't on video / audio (and same goes for her).

I don't care how it came to light. This isn't the first time this guy has done or said incredibly racist, shiatty things, and everyone needs to be reminded of that.

Just 5 years ago he paid a $2.7 million settlement for federal housing discrimination.

He made statements that he would like to have a Southern coach and poor black players on his team. 

He brought women into the locker room and paraded them around, telling them to, "Look at those beautiful black bodies," like he was a slave owner showing off his stock.

So no, I don't particularly care how this came to light. He's an embarrassment to the league, and people need to be aware of how much of a shiatheel he is.

I never said the lady is a saint, but focusing on her like that detail matters even in the slightest misses the real point here.

Well they didn't do anything for all the other stuff he's done, so I don't really expect them to do anything about this either. New sheriff in town with Adam Silver, though, so we'll see. The thing that complicates this is that technically, as the commissioner, he works for the owners, so  it would probably take overwhelming support from the other owners for him to be able to do anything here.

Personally, I'd like to see the players refuse to play for him, but I know that won't happen. They knew about all the other shiatty stuff he had done before, and chose to play there anyway (well, the ones that weren't traded or drafted anyway). Or maybe they didn't. There seem to be several people in this thread that think this is the first time he ever did anything racist.

More like ends reinforce what we already knew and revives the conversation about why this guy is associated with a league where 80% of the players are black. The fact that so many of you guys seem to be unaware of his history as a blatant racist says to me that this wasn't a bad thing. And whether or not recording him was the right thing to do, that's completely moot. If you're going to dismiss the fact that he talked to this woman the way that he did just because you think she shouldn't have recorded him... then I don't even know what else to say.
