Real Women Drink Akvavit: Good Meowning and Happy Easter to you too, Tigerose (and everyone else who saunters in today)!I was looking for pics and did a gis for "easter cat" - roughly a third of what popped up were warnings about lilies being toxic to cats. I know I knew this, but I had fur-gotten. I bet a lot of people are like me and simply have a reserve of derp equal to or greater to the smarts we keep carefully hidden away and that's why we need to be reminded every year. Not that I've ever brought lilies into my home, but I know they are significant for this holiday for some people and that makes me glad for the reminder about the toxicity.I got an hour nap and still am hungry because I did not eat. lol! Waiting for coffee, THEN will eat sumfing. Thinking about making a couple taquitos, because I really like taquitos. Or maybe I can hit the store and get some salsa, which I do not feel like making right now, and make some chilaquiles. Those are YUM all the time.[assets.dogtime.com image 460x345]
CrankyAndi: Happy Easter![crankyandi.smugmug.com image 850x637]Been stressing out (work)...woke up at 3 am yesterday and didn't fall back to sleep. Yeah...I was exhausted.Did grocery shopping at 8 am. Saw a former coworker in the store but wasn't sure it was her so I didn't say hi. I was at the checkout lane when I saw that the roast I was buying was open so I had to go back to get a different roast. I walked up to the meat counter and she was there. Right where I needed to be. So I said 'Excuse me'. She said 'oh sorry'. It was her. I did say hi, we hugged and talked for 30 minutes. We talked about our jobs (we were both let go by the same place a few years ago). I said I am not doing what I should be doing, development but I'd love to do requirements or QA testing. And this is where it gets awesome....she said that where she is, they are coming into the 21st century and she is pushing for QA testing. She then said 'I have goosebumps'.Yes, life is mysterious. I smiled the rest of the day and I am still smiling. Will be pursuing this opportunity. A door opened.....I want to see what is on the other side.I fell asleep before 8:30 last night (exhausted) and slept quite well. I woke up a little after 5 and cuddled the furkids till after 6.And I am still smling!
Real Women Drink Akvavit: Hai! *frantic waving* I had my medicines adjusted and one changed on Purrsday and I am having the interesting dreams. I have done the sleepwalking before, too. My ex used a belt from one of my robes to tether one of my ankles to his so it would wake him up if I started wandering off in my sleep. The obstacle course arrangement did not work on me, because I navigated through it perfectly. Then I'd start baking or cooking dinner - in my sleep. We were afraid I'd burn the house down, not leave it. I don't know why I started sleepwalking in the first place, but I also seem to have stopped. I haven't done that in years even with the medications.
Deathbymeteor: *yawn* Morning Caturday folks (whomever is up at this wretched hour). Early shifts are no fun, but being able to use the bike to get to and from work means I get to spend just a little bit more time at home (like 45 minutes total) instead of walking to trains, or walking to buses, or walking to work.I think B the 8 legged is sorting herself out, as she usually does. She still keeps a watchful eye on her water dish, but she's also decided to spruce up her foam log house with a new web coating, and a new web mat for when she's laying about. I'm hoping that keeping her water dish filled more often will reinforce the idea of "This is for wets, not webs", but we shall see.Happy Easter to all, and to all, good noms.

Real Women Drink Akvavit: I am hasing such a good day so far, you guise! Today was the reveal/selection window for the May Julep Maven releases (nail polish - as if you could not have guessed) and though I am broke, I am getting all the colors I want. I have earned enough Jules (their reward currency) over the past two years I got it all on the way FREE. Not a single cent was paid by me, not even taxes or shipping. How awesome is that?My mom made the appropriate noises of approval though I know she honestly does not give a shiat about my nail polish and cosmetic habit. At least it's not heroin, right? RIGHT![media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com image 442x254]
