lack of warmth: An uncle of mine has just hopped out of a car he was riding in, and directed traffic till his ride got through then he would jog up to jump back in. Worked a few times without anyone getting their panties in a bunch. He didn't have to impersonate anyone, but it helped he's a big guy who could carry a dryer on his shoulder.
