Republic of Doyle is cheesy but fun
2014-03-29 07:24:28 PM
I like Rookie Blue, mostly just because of Missy Peregrym. There's a guy on that show that was also in the fu king amazing but far too short-lived Flash Gordon reboot on the Scifi channel.

Well, over here at my house, we were watching Bomb Girls a few weeks ago. There aren't many episodes, so it went rather quickly, but I liked it.

Yeah, that's the only one I even know of offhand, I think. I haven't seen it in years but I remember it being seriously hilarious.

Psych was filmed in Vancouver I think... does that count?

This and You Can't Do That on Television. That's also basically how long it's been since I've actually been able to watch television.

Not because I don't have one, though. I'm not that awesome.

Sometimes I watch episodes of the littlest hobo on youtube with my dog on saturday mornings.

I really enjoyed Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Don't ever watch Corner Gas. It's horrible.

Kenny vs. Spenny is good.

There's Canadian tv shows?
2014-03-29 08:22:49 PM
Red Green

Chopped Canada (although Dean McDermott and his squinty eyes can go get stuck on an ice floe)

Little Mosque on the Prarie

You'd be surprised how many shows are filmed in Canada.

The X-Files is one of them but there are many, many others---here's just the SciFi shows.

I know he gets the suits cut to fit, but he must get some of the fabric custom-made as well.

Trailer Park Boys is hilarious.

Lost Girl is amazing.  Watch it if you haven't seen it yet.

I liked Kids in the Hall, I liked Corner Gas, I enjoy the Rick Mercer report (but can only watch on youtube), I confess that "Lost Girl" is my "sinful pleasure" show (it's technically Canadian) and so far have enjoyed Continuum.

Of course.

This Hour has 22 Minutes, The Rick Mercer Report, The National, Hockey Night in Canada and Curling on TSN round out my viewing.

I watched all three seasons of Bomb Girls and I quite enjoyed Orphan Black.
2014-03-29 09:01:02 PM
I've been watching that Master Chef Canada thing, it's kinda dumb but seems watchable.

I also have a soft spot for Rick Mercer. Oh, come on...grow up. Franchement!

Nefarious: Orphan Black

Season 2 starts April 19th

what_now: Orphan Black.

I tried "Lost Girl" for a season and a half. At that point the pretty could no longer counteract the stupid and I had to give up.
2014-03-29 09:33:27 PM
Republic of Doyle is entertaining sometimes. Rick Mercer Report, duh. And Hockey Night in Canada. That's about all I can think of that I watch regularly enough.
2014-03-29 09:34:54 PM
Oh, and I guess I didn't know Lost Girl was Canadian, since I watch it on a US channel. So add that one. Need to give Orphan Black another chance I think, I only got a couple episodes in and couldn't get into it.

Bomb Girls is Canadian?

Hm. I thought it was British, since I had to order the DVDs from the UK.

/haven't gotten around to watching it yet, but glad to hear its worth it.
2014-03-29 10:25:02 PM
They're not Canadian per se, but a LOT of American written and scripted cartoons are voiced and animated in Vancouver.
2014-03-29 10:25:07 PM
Does Supernatural count?

"gags" I love that show

Do we count the ones that are filmed in Canada by American networks...?
