heap: he probably figured out he could have more of an effect with an AM talk show than he did in office.
Dr Dreidel: Michigan representative who was retiring to start an AM radio show, then was most emphatically NOT retiring to start an AM radio show, is now retiring to start an AM radio show.Everyone got that?
qorkfiend: Dr Dreidel: Michigan representative who was retiring to start an AM radio show, then was most emphatically NOT retiring to start an AM radio show, is now retiring to start an AM radio show.Everyone got that?I thought the confusion was over whether or not Rep. Rogers was stepping down as chairman of the House intelligence committee prior to the end of his term. At least, that seems to be what the earlier article on Rogers was about.
Crewmannumber6: Somebody's got something on him
vernonFL: I don't know much about him, I'm probably not a fan of his politics, but i am glad that he is living his principles by imposing his own term limit on himself.I wish more politicians would do the same.
TheGreatGazoo: I'm waiting for the Polaroids of Dianne Feinstein that get released a week before the election.
felching pen: From the Intelligence Committee to a nationally syndicated radio show? Mysterious high-speed backroad fatality in 5...4...3...2...
TheGreatGazoo: Crewmannumber6: Somebody's got something on himHas he been going after the CIA?
Cletus C.: I was just thinking that the country needs another conservative radio talk show host.
sugardave: As long as it isn't another R filling his place, it looks like the House Intelligence is on the rise.
Earguy: Great, another conservative talk radio host.
Rann Xerox: And nothing of value will be lost.

quokka70: He's my local congressman. I'm not a fan, but we can, and probably will, do worse. He isn't a Tea Party nitwit, but, based on the letters I see in the local paper, there are plenty of Tea Party voters in my area. The loons are going to come out of the woodwork before November.
yakmans_dad: Didn't he just deny that he was leaving?
NewportBarGuy: Does that make Michele Bachmann the new head of the intelligence committee?
Johnny Savage: FTA:"I have always believed in our founders' idea of a citizen legislature," he said in his statement. "I had a career before politics and always planned to have one after. The genius of our institutions is they are not dependent on the individual temporary occupants privileged to serve."QFT and well said
jaerik: I wonder what it's like for GOP voters to slowly figure out that pretty much all of their most prominent leaders are just trolling everyone for a book/radio/Fox News job.
