MelGoesOnTour: I've never understood the mindset of [younger] people who feel it is somehow bad to get older. I mean, would they prefer to simply dies rather than live to anything above 30?!

Really? No one yet?

Hope I die before I get old

Talkin' about my generation.

/old n happy

Like Jay Z, I have 99 problems. Unlike Jay Z, misogyny ain't one.

theflatline: DROxINxTHExWIND: durbnpoisn: Aging is an unfortanately reality for a performer.  Particularly vocalists.  Look at poor Billy Joel.  He's still performing, but he sounds nothing like he did 30 years ago.

If Jay Z can still perform as he did when he first got famous, eh...  More power to him.  Other than that, it's really not an issue.

I don't know how Billy Joel used to perform but I do know that he sung the shiat out of that Lion King song with the new late night guy.

Billy Joel still has amazing pipes for someone his age even after all the abuse he has put himself through.

Hey, don't get me wrong!  I'm a huge Billy joel fan.  Perhaps that wasn't the best example.
But you gotta admit, his voice has gotten a bit rough over the years.

Gaseous Anomaly: mama2tnt: My teenage monster seems to find it quite fascinating that I am "such-and-such months younger" or "this many years older" than this star or that one.

Of course, every one of them looks better than I do. My explanations are, "Well, in six months when she's MY age she'll look just as bad as I do" or "Well, sure, he LOOKS younger, but that's because he's a big star and can afford personal trainers / plastic surgery / better nutrition / not to have teenagers who ask me these farking questions all day long!!!"

/Oops, menopausal moment.

Upon finding out that Liam Neeson was 61 my first thought was "I hope I look that good at 61".
My second thought was that I don't look that good now (40).

He probably dyes his hair. (Sour grapes as he has more hair than I had 20 years ago)
He's also 6'4" goddammit.

Barnstormer: Epic Fap Session: 50? This picture was taken in 1939. He's at least a hundred!

No way. If he was alive back then, he'd know what a melody is.

Like Rakim?

It is his time. He knows what he needs to do, clearly.
