The world is kind of shiatty these days.
Large portions of cities on fire. Assassinations of leaders. Weekly KIA counts of 300+ in Viet Nam. Rampant crime.
AIDS outbreak, with no cure in sight. Yup, things sure are shiatty today.

Your normal life back then is something we fantasize about today.
That was the "normal", so fantasize away, dude, fantasize away.
