(KSDK St. Louis)   Bad: Season-ending knee injury. Worse: Right before the big game against your top rival high school. Awesome: Opposing team's coach tells his players to stand down so you can score one final basket for the season   ( divider line

HindiDiscoMonster: I feel sorry for the people here who cannot understand the nature of this gesture. Maybe, one day, when they grow up, they will finally understand it.

/not likely - but I can dream.

Just wondering, but were you born post 1990? Because in my mind, you wore a bike helmet with your training wheels, and were given lot's of participation medal for your precious little snowflake endeavors.

So who the hell won the game and was it close?

And did everyone get trophies including the fans so they wouldn't feel left out?

bluenote13: I am curious for all the people biatching about this, if that was your daughter or son who got injured right before their last game,  would you not be happy the other team let them score a basket on senior night or would you sit your kid down and say 'Too bad, next time don't get hurt.  Those are the breaks and stop crying about it.'?

You seem to be unfamiliar with the hard core, no excuses, eat what you kill, tough loving, law of the jungle adherents of Fark.

Mercy is for the weak.

dragonchild: I don't get it.  When I'm injured, the frustration doesn't stem from a lack of success, but an inability to challenge.  Paving a path for me doesn't really change the equation.

ditto - Gee coach, thanks for the pity basket.
