When this happens I always imagine the alarm going off, the firefighters jumping into their turn-out gear and racing off in their trucks, circling the block, and pulling back into the station to fight the fire there.

See, there were this topless hot chick in the fire station and she told the fireman it was going to get very hot in there and sure enough, that's when the fireman's wife burned the station down!
I don't know, seemed like a better story for the irony tag than 'haha, it's a firestation on fire'

I used to live in Muscatine Iowa when I was a teenager.  We once had a church burn to the ground, right across the street from the fire department.  Nobody noticed until it was too late.
