He's 156 pounds right now.  This dog honestly believes everyone he sees is coming to see him and he's glad to see them!  Brutus has already taken his canine good citizen test and passed,  Next month he'll be taking the TDI (therapy dogs international) test.

Funny you say about his face.  He inspires "cuteness aggression".  (had to look that up)  We were at Petco last week and ran into a family with a few dogs.  The mother was pushing a baby in her stroller came right up to him.  In her Eastern European accent, she was so funny... "Oh, he is so cute, I don't know what to do with myself" while her own dog was barking at him.  It was a pretty funny scenario considering she had a small baby who was, imho, pretty darn cute itself.

They are beautiful dogs! I've always admired English setters but I've never had one. Are they as easy to train as I hear?

They are very intelligent.  Since they are littermates, they are grabastic.  Once you get past their strong will and sneakiness, I'd say yes they are fairly easily trained.  They are escape artists, and bred to go over, around, or through any obstacle hunting, so it's a little like having Navy Seals in your kennel.  They open doors, get out of locked kennels, and even came through a wall once.

Alright, here we go -

Truman, who was my first dog, and he was such a sweet mama's boy.  I still miss him.

i57.photobucket.comView Full Size

Angelica, who was Truman's bestest friend.  I got her at the vet, since some people brought her in and were going to have her euthanized because they didn't want her anymore, so I adopted her.  She was so smart, and so loving, a totally wonderful dog.

And then there was Ralphie, who my my ex-husband kept.  That jerk.
Heinrich and Ralphie were great buddies, and Heinrich would always force Ralphie off his own bed.  :)
