I stood in line for 90 minutes on a Sunday morning, got some free coffee, got interviewed by the LA Times, met some cute girls who appreciate dumb jokes, and now I'm selling my extra cup on eBay to someone even dumber than I for $100+, so a waste of time? I'd say not.

I've never heard of this guy or his show. Or the place he's from. All of them sound stupid.

This was a completely stupid idea from concept to execution.

"By adding the word 'dumb,' we are legally allowed to use the coveted Starbucks name and logo because we've fulfilled the minimum requirements to be considered a parody under US law."

Some people think that stupid is the same thing as funny.

Mr Fielder said he plans to open a second location in Brooklyn, New York.

They *may* not sure him for the first time.  They may figure "He learned his lesson".  But I guarantee, if he tries it again, they'll file every lawsuit they can think of.  And I'm pretty sure they can afford a ton of lawyers, who they will then fill with caffeine.

"Many of you probably know me as a comedian, but this is no bit or joke," he said. "This is a real business I plan to get rich from," [Nathan] deadpanned.

I disagree with the first part - I don't know him as a comedian and, after this lame stunt, I still don't.
We're in full agreement with the second part - this is too weaksauce to qualify as a "joke".
As for the third part, this idiot has me rooting for The Man to crush him. I'll be very disappointed if he tries this again and Starbucks doesn't bury him in legal fees.

I wonder how much money this idiot wasted to create this "joke"?

How stupid.
