(Fox 5 Las Vegas)   Nevada bar comes under fire for changing their marquee to say "The Broncos couldn't beat the sick kids at St. Jude's". Personally, I think that's unfair... the St. Jude's kids have a great defense, and know better than to snap the ball too high   ( fox5vegas.com) divider line

Uh, I'm not a huge football fan, but the Broncos have been perhaps my favorite team OF ALL TIME and I live in Colorado and let's face it - they choked big time in the Super Bowl.  I'm not sure what there is to be outraged about.

Oh, it's not about butt-hurt Broncos fans?  I've also lost loved ones to cancer and I'm still not outraged.

I think the guy in the article is just mad at the world in general and lashing out at anything he can because he's slowly losing his daughter to cancer.  I know, it sucks, but if you let yourself get all worked up over it, it's only going to make things worse.

With a name like "Blind Tiger" it's a good thing it wasn't the Bungles in the Super Bowl.

/Seahawks woulda beat the crap outta them too.
//real Super Bowl was two week previous.
///Seahawk Super Bowl Slashies!

One thing I've learned: it's not possible to express yourself as an individual without offending some segment of the population, no matter what you do.

The only thing you can reasonably do is to take a long hard look at your values and ideals, live your life according to those values, and let the perpetually offended whiners howl.

I met Steven Seagal in a bar when he was visiting a relative at St. Jude.  He ended up playing guitar on stage, and was surprisingly good.

I read that headline as "Nevada Bar" not "Nevada bar".

It's not an incorrect statement.  Those kids are more determined and show more backbone every day than Denver.

"It was disgusting. I just got in the car and came right down here," Moore said.

It had nothing to do with attention whoring in front of the camera.

but that's not enough for a man whose daughter has cancer.

OMG who cares? The absolute last people we as a society should ever listen to is "grieving parents". Grieving parents are psychotic, their brains "no worky right". Sure, give 'em sympathy, but absolutely no soapboxes and no say in anything. You know how the mentally unfit can't buy guns? Same thing with public policy, opinion, and laws: no mentally unfit. And it doesn't get more mentally unfit than grieving parents. Just once I would like to see some half-wild malfunctioning parent talk to a politician or journalist saying "My kid is going to die/died from THIS issue and ..." and the politician/journalist stops them right there with "Oh, you must be having a really hard time. Here's the number for a therapist, please try to get some rest." and walks away.

The sign, viewable from Pecos Road, quickly drew a firestorm on social media. Jesse Moore saw a picture on Facebook. "It was disgusting. I just got in the car and came right down here," Moore said.

People need to grow the fark up. Better yet, the media needs to stop running stories like this, all it does is make the next person who feels offended think he has a right to make a big deal over it.

KidneyStone: This place has nothing on the sign in front of Mulligans in Marietta, Ga.

I've got some stops down Roswell street monday morning, I gotta keep an eye out to see what it says.
