Holy Christ.

I remember going to skating rinks as a kid in the early 80s, and hearing the older folks say 'yeah, this is ok, but...it's nothing on what it was like in the 70s'.

Looking at this, I wonder why on Earth anyone would yearn for it.

Those are disturbing on a very, very basic level.

The early 70s were a freaky time.  Because I was very young I saw the Counter Culture from a distance, but it left an indelible image.  It's not a time I would want to go back to.

I just sent this link to my dad. These pics were shot the year I was born in Tampa. I hope he recognizes someone.
Yes, these kids look kind of goofy, but that's great. They have not been molded into fashion slaves by the media yet. These kids were far more concerned with 'doing' than 'being seen doing'. Kids these days should be so lucky.

I never knew
You were a roller skater

Smeggy Smurf: brap: Those are absolutely fantastic.

I wish I could afford a couple prints.

Save the image and take it to your local reprographics shop.  They'll be able to print it out at least 1200 dpi up to 36" wide.

I'm one of those old-school saps that likes to support the actual artist with my dinero.  Any other way just wouldn't feel right to me.

I was a kid in the 70s.
lessee what we have here.
Starts off with Matt Mcconaughey,  gay, cruising for boys.
Next pic, Ah yes, children smoked back then, I do remember that. I did, too.
And there's that kid they made all the "big eyed kid" paintings of.  That is Iconic 70s shait right there.
Moving on..
Next pic: Excellent. This is choice. Slutty middle schooler with her defiant friend shooting the photog the finger.
That is Iconic, and so much like every night of my 13 year old summers.
Next pic: Scary Adults. Probably perverts.
Next: Yeah. Big kids didn't know not to wear horizontal patterns back them. they looked like a TV on the fritz.
Next: Skank. Her boyfriend's a mechanic and they live together in sin.
Next: He knocked her up. That's subby's real father.
Next: Pretty typical of fashion for girls back then, and very very sexy.
Next: Why, Miss Cyrus, who are your friends? Are they rock stars?
Next: Looks like the Schnapps paid off.

Yep. classic stuff.
Makes me look back and cry.
