Bit'O'Gristle: all the big businesses have downsized or moved to another country, and those few that are left, offer shiat insurance, or none at all

I work for a large company and my premiums are about $30 a paycheck. You're doing it wrong.

Bit'O'Gristle: So, is he going to have to pay the taxes on not signing up? Or is that just to all of us who cant afford the anal raping every month?

I'm sorry you're not smart or successful enough to afford to take the legally required steps to provide for yourself in the case of illness.  I, for one, am glad that you will no longer be feeding out of the public trough and sticking me with the bill.

Who's John Galt now, farkwad?

The conspiracy theorist in me says that was staged as a masterful manifestation of lulziness from the Troll-in-Chief.

Well played, sir.  Well played.

Like many of us his employer provides ACA compliant insurance.

Profedius: Reading through the responses to my post is what I would expect from people that support Obama and his polices. No logical counter points, I am a racist because he is half black, attempts to make me look stupid because I said "birth" instead of "the location of his birth" and statements as to why no one is currently questioning the birth of past presidents. The color of his skin has nothing to do with my disagreement in providing goods and or services to those people who have not earned them at a cost to those that have. It doesn't matter if a person was just born into a rich family and didn't earn their wealth, because at some point in that family someone earned it. The location of his birth I question, because of all the conflicting stories and his youth spent in another country. I find the nature of his birth interesting and not a tool to undermine his presidency.

Your statement didn't really warrant a logical counter point.  Mostly because people still questioning his birthplace have already rejected all evidence presented to them, and everyone else is tired of reiterating things that you are clearly going to ignore since you've made it this far as a birther.

That said, against my better judgement I will say this:  If the ACA works as intended, I.E. giving people access to insurance and doctors they did not previously have access too, and a broader customer base for insurance companies, than the unit price of healthcare should go down, which should impact the cost of even your healthcare.  If you pay for your healthcare than this will still mean less out of pocket for you, but if your healthcare is provided by someone else (like an employer), than they are spending less on your healthcare and can use that money for other things, like better benefits packages, higher pay, better quality equipment, bonus packages, etc.  If they're doing none of that, at least they're more stable as a business because their costs went down so your employment is safer.

Even if *none* of that is true, and the ACA has no impact on you at all, than it isn't hurting you either, and it is providing benefits for millions of people.  If you still oppose it even after that, one has to question why.  It's not fair that people assume racism, but not surprising considering that there are some pretty strong racial undertones among the tea party and the birthers that your views align with.

11 points and five of them are the same thing?

But you can count to eleven, so you've got that going for you, which is nice.

The ACA will quickly become a fact of American life and all this bullshiat will pass. People hate change but they get used to it pretty quickly.

By 2016, no one will remember why Republicans were so furious anyway.

pmdgrwr: I am surprised to see Fakers are not blaming Fox News and the Republicans for this. I guess you can only blame someone else for your failings for so long.

Funny people still think the ACA was a crowning success.

How do you come this late into the thread with such weak sh*t?

1. You can keep your old insurance at the usual rate.
2. You can keep your same doctor
3. Your premiums will not go up, as more people join the companies, they will have a greater pool of cash for insurance payouts, hence the lower premiums.

/Um...about that.

Random Discord: $400 a month?!?!? Why the fark are my premiums going to be 1k per month then?

Because clearly you're doing something very, very wrong. Or you have, like, 8 children.
