Farking Canuck: Actually, coffee becomes "crotch frying" at 180°F to 190°F.I assume by crotch frying you mean third degree "full thickness" burns that were almost fatal, required skin grafts, 8 days in the hospital and 2 years of treatments.
Mad_Radhu: I've never understood the why places have coffee brewed at temps so hot they leave me with a burned palate. Half the reason I go for Starbucks is that their mocha is actual served at a temperature that is halfway reasonable. I hate having to water it down with ice or wait half an hour to drink it.
