MrSteve007: What I find even more interesting is that they finally measured (and published) the radiation levels near the leak at the bottom of one of the reactors: 1 to 1.8 severts an hour. Any farkers care to convert that to bananas?

Not going to try the conversion, but applying PILES (Pungent's Iron Law of Executive Self-Preservation), I can tell you whether or not it's safe.

Did any high-ranking TEPCO executives make this announcement at the actual site?


Then it's still dangerous.
