you are a puppet: Paul Baumer: Stop trying to make Valerie Jarrett happen. It's not going to happen. Just like Ayers, and Alinsky, and all the other bogeymen you tried to make happen that didn't happen.Van Jones! She even has the same initials!/Ha! someonelse: Jarrett is the one who advised Obama "do not cooperate one iota on ObamaCare. Don't given an inch. Let the Republicans stew in their own juice," Klein said.Is Klein being quoted, or is Jarrett? BAD WRITING
satanorsanta: someonelse: Jarrett is the one who advised Obama "do not cooperate one iota on ObamaCare. Don't given an inch. Let the Republicans stew in their own juice," Klein said.Is Klein being quoted, or is Jarrett? BAD WRITINGThis is Klein pretending as if he were Jarrett, I believe. The exact definition of straw man. It seems to be popular with republicans.[i.usatoday.net image 490x368]
Yakk: This is what the GOP thought of the plan beforehand."Blocking a government funding bill over ObamaCare is "the dumbest idea I've ever heard..." Sen. Richard Burr R-N.C.http://thehill.com/video/senate/313673-sen-burr-sen-lees-proposal-to -d efund-obamacare-dumbest-idea-ive-ever-heardNow it was a clever trap that no one could have seen coming?
HotWingConspiracy: So it looks like this will emerge as the accepted GOP lore for this incidenthttp://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2013/10/17/karl-rove-says-obam a- set-shutdown-trap/3001009/

RexTalionis: I'm not saying Ed Klein is a liar, but his previous books belong on the Fantasy Fiction aisle of the Barnes & Noble.
SlothB77: It was Jarrett who advised Obama that voters would mostly blame Republicans if the federal government ground to a halt, providing a golden opportunity to swing back control of the House to Democrats in the 2014 mid-term elections, according to Klein.basically this article admits two things: Obama and the dems were just as culpable in the shutdown as the republicans, perhaps even more so. And they would be given a free pass - even though they were culpable, they would not be blamed. And the media didn't blame them.
Paul Baumer: Stop trying to make Valerie Jarrett happen. It's not going to happen. Just like Ayers, and Alinsky, and all the other bogeymen you tried to make happen that didn't happen.
badhatharry: I particularly like how they changed strategy midstream. When they were getting bad press for not negotiating they simply say, "We have been negotiationg."So then they have some negotiations. Republicans offer several deals. Obama rejects them all.
